Be sure to go to Key's Caribbean Resorts, and stay at the Mariners in Key Largo. They have both townhouses and villa's available for rent. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The villa was spotless upon arrival, and beds comfortable. The unit also had a full kitchen and washer and dryer. All linens were provided and maid service was given mid week. The grounds have two swimming pools, and two hot tubs. It's right next door to Dive In Sports which offers discounts to guests. A great hub for visits all over the Keys!

My husband and I just stayed at the Mariners Resort for our honeymoon. We had a two bedroom townhouse that was awesome! It had comfortable beds, TONS of room, and a huge kitchen, which was really great for cooking that local seafood! The townhouse was right on the harbor and our back porch overlooked several very large, nice boats. We had a wonderful stay and will be returning hopefully in the near future!! It is a great place to stay for couples wanting to get away by themselves, but we look forward to going back with friends as well. We would recommend the Mariners Resort to anyone!

My husband, son (age 12), and myself enjoyed a 5 night stay at Mariner's resort. We stayed in unit 407-oceanview and on the lagoon pool. I am very satisfied with our accomodations. Please note that this unit is multilevel. There is a flight of stairs that leads you to the main living space. Another flight of stairs takes you to the 2 bedrooms. The main floor had a kitchen, dining and living area with an open floor plan. From the living area there were sliding glass doors that lead to a screened in porch. These sliding glass doors could be left open for an open air feel. The porch area had a screen door with staircase that lead you down to the pool area. The main floor also had a bathroom and a small room with a desk and daybed. This room had the connection for th highspeed internet. Kitchen was nice with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. We typically do not cook on vacation, therefore we did not get much use of the kitchen. The floor was some type of stone tile, which was nice for coming in from the pool wet. The staircase leading to the bedrooms as well as the entire upper floor was carpeted. Carpet was showing some signs of wear, but nothing too terrible. The master bedroom was huge. I thought the bed was fairly comfortable. The master had a large armoir that had drawers for clothing and housed a TV. The master also has a large sliding glass door leading to a screened in porch. Please note the porches also have ceiling fans-which was nice to create a breeze as the weather can get pretty balmy. The master had a view of the pool and ocean. The master bath was very large with a huge soaking tub and a large standup shower. The washer and dryer were located on the upper level. The other bedroom and bath were of adequate size. The 2nd bedroom had a small TV. The unit had 3 TVs equipped with satellite. During our stay there was a mix of vacationing adults and families. The pool here is fabulous. The pool is so large that adults that are trying to relax and families that are playing-each have plenty of room. I thought that there were plenty of lounge chairs. The pool is around 5 foot deep in the middle. On each end of the pool it is zero entry, much of the pool is 3 to 4.5 feet deep. My son's statement is that it was "kid friendly." We did not eat at the restaurant that the resort advertises, nor did we use the watersports vendor associated with the resort. The resort is gated, therefore the guard house opens the gate every time someone enters and exits, I felt this was a nice safety feature. Mariner's is located at MM97.5. You do have to do a U turn to get to the resort (hint make a left at the dolphin mailbox).

We stayed three nights in the one bedroom villa with our two daughters (20 somethings). Found the unit to be clean and well maintained. The sleeper sofa was ok (the girls put the matress on the floor as the sofa had two hard bars underneath the mattress) and the kitchen was minimally stocked with dishes, silverware, and cookware - no big deal, we just had juice and oatmeal for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch.

We elected to stay in this resort because of the cost and the fact it offered a whirlpool tub in the bathroom. We are SCUBA divers and having a tub makes it much easier to clean the gear.

Unfortunately, the room did not have the tub, just a shower. We asked at the front desk about the whirlpool tub and they said our unit did not offer that feature - oh well. We were able to clean our gear twice in shower, but did have major leaks - the shower rim is extremely low. Fortunately, the resort left 4 large beach towels along with 3 bath towels for our use. Having a washer and dryer available in the unit, made towel clean up easy.

Wifi was not available in the room, but it was an easy walk to the check in area (bar/restaurant) to use their wifi.

We would stay at Mariner's Resort again, but prior to unloading all of our gear and luggage, I would verify the amenities. When comparing our cost for three nights to other 4 star locations, we had a good deal.

I just returned from a stay at the Mariners Resort and Villa with my husband, my in laws and our infant daughter. There is a guard at the gate who will check to make sure you are allowed in. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was not cleaned until 4pm when check in was, we tried to check in an hour earlier... The woman checking us in gave us great restaurant suggestions and was very helpful. The room we got was right on the marina. Two bedrooms 2 1/2 bath. The place was HUGE!. Bigger than a lot of local apartments. The place was very clean, the kitchen was brand new looking. The entire place was well furnished. The bathrooms were clean and full of marble. The master bathroom was huge with his and her counters , a jacuzzi tub and beautiful shower. There are two pools. One is huge with sand all around it for kids to play in. There is a great jacuzzi outside at both locations. One hidden under man made caves with a water fall. It is very private, quiet and non touristy. I would recommend this place to anyone!
