Just returned from Kona Kai - we had such a fab time! The team there are a lovely bunch - so helpful and professional - really friendly and welcoming. Top notch usa standards without being too posh or stuffy. We could not have had a more chilled holiday - felt like home from home!
Thank you so much!!!

My husband and I just got back from another wonderful week at the Kona Kai. We've stayed there regularly over the past 10-plus years and every time is better than the time before. The cottages have recently been completely redecorated and are really gorgeous. The colors, the furniture, the fabrics - everything is beautiful, classy, and restful. The staff is terrific and have great suggestions for new restaurants to try and new fun things to do. The botanic gardens are a unique treat and a blissful oasis after a busy day of diving, stand up paddleboarding, and eating key lime pie! Truly, there is just no reason to go anywhere else!

Room Tip: They're all beautiful and each has its own special charm. The staff can help you decide, based o...

We had a great time at the Kona Kai Resort in Key Largo Oct.11-18th! The staff is awesome- so friendly and informative!! They keep the resort in perfect condition-always cleaning up and making everything beautiful! The sunsets are the best there is! Every night we would sit on the pier and watch the sun melt into the bay. It was spectacular every time !! Our room was perfect!! It was steps to the bay and very spacious and well decorated!! There is not a single negative thing about the Kona Kai, honestly!! Thanks Tracey, Denise, and the rest of the hard working staff!! This is how all hotels should do business!! We will miss the friendly little squirrels that we hand fed:) Tracy and Ryan from Columbus, Ohio

Room Tip: We had a suite but ll the rooms are nice and steps from a private beach

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Derrick and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Kona Kai. Tracey was absolutely wonderful from the moment we checked in until we left. We sampled a few of the restaurants on the list she provided and all were outstanding. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help us have a great time. I don't remember the lady's name who gave us the fresh coconuts and then came back with a hammer to break the shell so we could enjoy the meat of the coconut. We cooked out on the grill and had steaks, corn on the cob and fresh grilled pineapple spears. The coconut garnishment was an added plus to our meal. The Mango Room was perfect for us. Wonderful memories made during this trip. Looking forward to coming back next year for our anniversary (and maybe try to get another trip in before next year!!). If you're going to the Keys and not sure where to stay, try the Kona Kai. Worth every penny!

Room Tip: After reviewing the rooms on Kona Kai's website, I communicated with Denise and got excellent re...

Amazing staff, beautiful views, unbeatable tranquility. A must!! The women who work there are incredibly knowledgable and accomadating. Additionally, the little freebies they give like water and fruit really make the place personable.

One of our favorite things about staying here was the garden. If you enjoy learning about tropical plants, their uses, how they are grown, and sampling some delicious tree-ripened fruit, then stay here! The caretakers of the unique plants have been there for years, and are very friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff was helpful in finding/booking activities, and it was nice to have access to towels/water/other amenities as needed.
The property faces the mangroves (bayside), which allows for unique sunsets.

We stayed here in July 2013 and were blown away by the beauty of this place. There were botanical plants all around us and the grounds were kept up so beautifully. Our room was the most charming little cottage and Ronnie and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. It was very peaceful and a great location to view the beautiful sunsets! We would highly recommend this resort to anyone! We had a wonderful experience from the time we checked in to the time we left! We can't wait to go back!!
