We were just planning on going to Key West but ended up staying 3 nights at the Holiday Inn and it was the best move we ever made. The hotel was the whole package. The rooms were nice and affordable. There is a tiki bar with live music and a pool with a waterfall. There were 4 restaurants right in walking distance and every activity we wanted on property. There are fishing boats, diving boats, snorkel boats, and a casino boat that all leave right from the hotel. We went on the casino boat one night and since we are not certified we went snorkeling on this giant 49 ft catamaran called quicksilver. That trip is a must we have 2 small girls and they can't stop talking about how they got to help drive the boat. The crew were super friendly and educated. The hotel also has a restauant and buffet style breakfast every morning. We did end up going to key west but just for one night and headed back up to key largo.

Stayed here overnight with my sister. The room was comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the porch and marina view. Walked to a nearby restaurant for a nice outdoor dinner. The location so close to John Pennekamp park (4 miles away) was perfect for catching the first snorkeling trip (If you haven't done it before-this was the highlight of my vacation), before heading to the lower keys.

We stayed here for 2 nights in January and I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. We booked a Marina View room which I would recommend.

We booked this hotel as we were doing the dolphin swim at Dolphin Plus (31 Corrine Pl.) and it was fantastic (you must do this). We were there on 7th Jan and the place was empty so had lots of dolphin time - a great experience.

Back to the hotel - had a nice pool area and the bar around the pool was nice. There were a couple of restaurants near the hotel which were ok but I would really recommend the Bayside Grill. You can walk this from the hotel and it is worth booking. We booked early and got a table right on the balcony that gave us fantastic sunset views whilst we had a great meal.......if you stay at the Holiday Inn you need to eat here or you are missing out on something special.

Overall, a nice, clean holiday inn, nice room with good views and gave us everything we expected.

We arrived here after 4 lovely days in Miami and wasn't very impressed with Key Largo or the hotel on first sight. However, the room was large, clean and comfortable but we looked out onto a car park - no beautiful beach like MIami. There is a sort of marina there but it didn't take long to walk round. We soon got used to the very laid back way of the Keys and spent an evening at the pool bar, the wine was lovely and the guy in the bar was very friendly. We drove to Key West the next day and loved it - I wish we had booked a few nights to enjoy the atmosphere of this lovely place. This hotel is OK for a stop over but I would not have liked to have spent my whole holiday here.
