The Holiday Inn was an excellent place to stay with kids. It's a fairly large property with a great pool area. There is a (clean) laundry room available. We found it clean, comfortable and friendly, at a very good price for Key Largo.

We stayed as a PC reward night (but the hotel is also worth the 100 or 120$ normal price) and got probably a better than average room: actually a part is rather "motel style", external corridor, another part is "hotel", internal corridor We got a nice hotel style room with marina view (2nd floor, no lift). As a PC platinum member I asked for a late check out to be able to take a shower after the snorkeling and got that without any discussion (till 4 pm would have been ok, but we did not need that). Rooms are OK, pool area seems nice, it seems that no one really uses the restaurant...

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for one night on our way down to Key West. The room was clean, attractive and near the pool. There were two pools, my daughter enjoyed both of them. They do not serve a free breakfast for guests and the cost was $10, we went across the street to Doc's Diner for a great breakfast.

Needed a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle but didnt want to travel far. Still like to be near the action. So this was the place. Once on the grounds felt like I was miles away from the real world. Yet I could just step outside and be near just about anything shopping, food, John Pennekamp. Took another persons suggestion went to Mrs. Mac's - was so great that when we met up with my daughter and her boyfriend the next day had to take them. After dinner walked down by the water took in the sights of some of the boats docked there, listened to some fine music and just relaxed. The room was sooo clean. I am VERY FUSSY! Even the remote control felt clean. (Thats the first thing I clean off when I enter a hotel room - yuk!) Pool was clean even the hot tub was clean. (A public hot tub - yuk!) Wish the drinks at the Tiki Bar was not so expensive but they are not out of line with the Keys. BYOB if this is an issue for you. The food I saw looked good. But we did not eat there. They have a buffet breakfast for $10 we did not par take so I can not comment on it. On a return trip I would like to check it out though. I do plan to go again and stay longer.
