You know the bit in Toy Story where Woody says to Buzz "YOU ARE A TOY" Well, you could say, in the same manner, to the Bayside "YOU ARE A MOTEL" A little bit of delusions of grandeur here methinks. As such the rooms were standard, very clean, staff very helpful, location very good but it is not a resort. The "beach" measured 10 paces across, the pool was crowded with 2 people in it, the "breakfast" a little on the meagre side and when I asked to hire some snorkelling gear - as stated on their website- they looked at me as if I was an alien from Mars.
On the plus side the sunsets were stunning, Snooks was good and our trips to Pennecamp State Park brilliant. If you go to the park take the snorkel tour out to the reefs and swim as if you're in an aquarium. Stunning views of fish of all colours.
Perhaps I'm being a little unkind, because our stay encountered no problems at all and was very peaceful but I would just say "you're a motel, get over it!
