fairly clean, somewhat small rooms. Rooms face north or south and not towards the bay-we faced the parking lot. some faced the pool. It was quiet at least. small beach but pleasant enough to watch the sun go down. pool is small but decent. no towels available though. no hairdryer available even when called the desk. nice concierge/check-in guy. would not stay here again for 199.00/night with a king bed and a sofabed.

We had a terrible experience here. Stayed for two nights in Jan of 08. They destroyed personal property then instead of immediately crediting any of our stay, told us we were better off going through their "official" process with the general manager of the hotel. There was no hostility in this conversation, just an exchange of facts.

After starting the official process (at the advice of the Housekeeping Manager) the housekeeping staff flat out LIED to the general manager saying we had refused to show them the damaged items and that we had told them we planned to return to the hotel to speak with him (as we were heading to the airport to fly across the country, I really think that was a little ridiculous). And yes, we did show them the damaged property - why would we not? After attempting to start going through their "process", I STILL haven't been compensated at all for the property they destroyed and have pretty much been told it was MY fault for bringing it to their attention at the time of the stay (which we did as mentioned in the first paragraph). They also mentioned that they weren't allowed to "touch any personal belongings in the room" because of several complaints of theft by the housekeeping staff. So if you value your possessions, I would not recommend spending your money on this hotel. I've stayed in hotels 30+ nights a year for the past 5 years and this is, by far, my worst experience to date.

This is not a real resort. It has only rooms; everything else appears to still be under construction. It's a shame because it could be very nice. As of now, it is definately NOT worth the Price! You could stay at a Resort that actually had amenities that were OPEN and available for your use for less money. Hotel does NOT tell the truth about the status when you book a room either!!!!!!!! Apears to be some serious lack of management or something at this place! A lot of locals hanging around too. Just poorly run!!!

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay at the resort. We were surprised to find that there appeared to have been no progress with the construction of the new lobby since March 2007 when we looked at the site on a visit to the area.

The rooms are very nice indeed with good facilities but.....the Tiki bar was shut, the vending machine broken and Starbucks shut at 4.00 pm!!! This hotel needs some facilities!!!

The pool area is run down and only has a few loungers and chairs and ONE parasol in what could be a lovely area.The pool itself is in need of refurbishment and the water was none too clean when we were there! We saw the pool man spend just a couple of minutes cleaning it on our second morning.

The carpets in the hallways are dirty and there was always an odour.

We stayed at this hotel when it was a Ho Jo and to be honest, apart from the rooms, very little appears to have been done...in fact, the facilitles are now worse than they were then!

We tried to get a late check-out on our last day as our flight home wasn't until 10.00 pm but the staff were not helpful and despite offering to pay for the room, we were told we could not keep it.

It is a shame that facilities are lacking at the resort as it could be really nice with a few minor improvements.

We will not be returning.
