We dined at the new Cioppino restauraunt in the Ritz Carlton recently, and had an excellent meal. The surroundings were very attractive, yet quite casual. The service was very good and helpful with recommendations, what you would expect at a top resort. There was live guitar music, and families with kids, teenagers, etc. spaced out throughout the dining areas. Very nice bar area as well, and large windows/doors opening out to patio/beach area.
Our meals were delicious, well presented with first rate service. The complementary basket of breads/foccacias/crackers were especially tasty. The ceasar salad was one of the best I have ever had with the imported cheese. I had tuna, and my dining companion had the veal special, both were good, but the special seemed to be quite expensive and not as unique or unusual for the price. Excellent dessert choices, and a nice selection of wines.
We didn't expect this to be a cheap meal, and it wasn't. It was worth it, overall, however, diners should expect that there is a gratuity included in the bill, and my charge card had another $20 in addition put on it, for reasons I have yet to be told. It was an enjoyable meal all around, with friendly service, so for that, we give it a high review, but check your bill carefully.
