“Loved it, would go again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

We paid $8 for our vehicle to enter the park. Parked near the Lighthouse cafe. The food was good, but slightly overpriced. I suppose they can do that being the only option in the park. They had fresh squeezed juices - we had orange and it was delicious!
The shower facility/bathroom is right next to cafe. They were ok. It was nice to have them, but they didn't offer much privacy for changing. The showers operated on push button, which ran for a few seconds until needing another push.
The beach was amazing! It was clean, not crowded, and lawn chairs and umbrellas are readily available to rent. $20 for 2 reclining chairs and umbrella.
The lighthouse was closed when we were there but very pretty and made great background in photos!
The water was pretty warm and calm the day we visited. It was very pretty, and clear. The wind picked up mid afternoon, and we left shortly after.
We enjoyed this beach very much and would not hesitate to return.
Only complaint for us was cigarette smoking by other beach-goers.

“An oasis of calm in miami”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

We visited the park for a few hours.. Low entrance fee, got loungers on the beach, couple of drinks at the cafe. Nice to relax in the sun. Quite a bit of sea weed but great experience overall.

“Lovely clean park, pretty lighthouse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014 via mobile

We spent a couple of hours here, just walking along one of the seaside trails, watching boats passing, and visiting the lighthouse. The lighthouse itself wasn't open due to some repairs, but the keepers cottage was. The park ranger was very pleasant, and informative. Had a light snack at the cafe next to lighthouse that was tasty and inexpensive.

“good bike trail along water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

We are staying at the Ritz Carlton and rented bikes to explore the park. The bike paths to the park and within the part gave easy, safe access. We rode the sandy paths by the bay -- great views. Highly recommend eating at Boaters Grill -- very casual but very good food. It was recommended by several locals.
