Right next door to The Ritz. Same beach, pretty well cared for grounds, nice little strip mall near by (yes you can walk), quiet location and reasonable. No they don't have the amenities of a Ritz but if you prefer your own kitchen and a more relaxed atmosphere this is the place. My only complaint is no beach chairs and umbrellas provided but there is a very nice guy who will rent you them for the day or week. Our unit Monkey Monkey was owned by a considerate couple who provided and furnished their unit lovingly. Don't hesitate to stay here and yes they have two pools!

“Great exclusive beach”

Amelia Surf & Racquet Club

This is the exclusive end of Amelia, without the exclusive price. It is uncrowded and close to the amentities that you vacation for. I love this place, the beach, and the tennis courts. It is peaceful, and yet convenient to all the main attractions.

“The Perfect Beach for Relaxation”

Amelia Surf & Racquet Club

This is the PERFECT beach for total relaxation! The Surf & Racquet Club has three buildings, 7 stories each, 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, walkways over the dunes to the beach. Golf course is nearby. "B" building gives a full 180 degree view of the beach, unobstructed. Watch the sunrise, the shrimp boats, often see dolphin. You won't see ANY cars. Might see horses, since horseback riding is allowed. Access to the beach is limited to guests, with the Ritz Carlton up the beach, so there's no disturbance from the neighbors! It's almost never crowded.
You can sit and watch the surf for hours. No umbrella or chair rentals, so bring your own. Marina not far away if you want to rent a boat. I love any beach that has sand and surf and sun. I love this one the best of all.
