“Perfect Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

The beach runs the length of the island and one can find privacy with a little effort to walk away from the main beach area. The water is warm and inviting, The sand is clean and well taken care of. Its almost the beach of dreams.

“Cleanest beach I have been to. Bathrooms and outside showers are a plus.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

We came to Fernandina Beach after going to Jacksonville Beach, and we were impressed with the cleanliness, public bathrooms and showers, and family friendliness. Parking was free, but you may have to go to the second lot a couple of blocks away. This beach is very inviting. There are memorial benches along the park and walk with quotes or in memorial information. There is a path that goes between the park and beach with gazeboes to stop and rest. Very nice beach. Our only regret was that we left for Tybee Island on the fourth instead of staying another day here.

“Great Beaches and nice downtown area.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We stayed in a house on the North end. Stay away from the beach access houses. Very quiet and great sand. One of the better beach locations in North Florida.

“Love this quaint island town and beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island Florida is the perfect place for a family or romantic getaway. The beach is not overcrowded and always clean and pretty. There are several parks with restrooms and places to park with showers for rinsing off everything after fun in the sun. they even have lifeguards! Love the sweet shops downtown and quaint restaurants. Everyone is friendly. My favorite shop is Southern Touch...Don't miss it...Cedar River is great for seafood and Pablo's for authentic Mexican and atmosphere. Amelia Island is now my favorite beach destination. They even have Target, Steinmart, Coldwater Creek, and yes, Walmart if you need them. You can visit Ft. Clinch, go for marine life tours, or go horseback riding on the beach. Great relaxing vacation destination!

“Beautiful Destination”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

The Atlantic Ocean is very cold in February but days were still very comfortable. It even got up to the 80s one day. We enjoyed Fort Clinch, walking around Amelia Island, discovering the Pippi Longstocking home, collecting shells, walking by the Ocean, and dining in the Historic District. It is a beautiful destination, almost magical, especially for us as it was our first trip to the Ocean. The highlight for me was watching the sun rise and the tide come in at the end of our stay.
