“Great place to relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

We had a great stay at the resort. Right on the beach, nice rooms and great service. Pool bar, room service and Sandbar restaurant all were excellent. It was a great get away, great for families too with options for kids.

great location but the hotel is very tired and old. only hotel in jupiter right on the beach. convenient to all locations in jupiter. walking distance to some nice tiki bars. rooms are very dated. the bar is hardly worth a visit. average food. decent hotel if you can get an oceanfront room. otherwise you are looking at parking lot. not good. overall, this hotel was not worth the money. expensive and dated.

Room Tip: oceanfront or stay elsewhere

I've been visiting Jupiter for a couple of years, had been a guest of guests at the Jupiter Beach Resort several times and had really been looking forward to our stay there this June. The Jupiter Beach Resort has an easy going, laid back style that I'd always enjoyed, that is until we checked in and they were having the carpets cleaned. Don't get me wrong - I appreciate that they were performing necessary maintenance - what I don't understand is that in June in Jupiter, FL, (not exactly high season), why they couldn't coordinate their bookings and carpet cleaning to least affect their clients. And if that somehow proved impossible, then concessions should be made to those guests who suffered wet carpeting in their rooms combined with the ungodly sound of the carpet cleaning trucks and machinery from check-in until late at night. I would like to commend the staff for their general graciousness, despite their inability to remedy the situation. They did attempt to move us to another room, but it was towards the back of the hotel and over the A/C compressors.

That said, The Jupiter Beach Hotel, although perhaps in need of a bit of sprucing up, has a lovely staff and a spectacular location. We stayed in an "Oceanfront" room, (not really - more partial ocean view, with a big view of the building next door), and the British Colonial decor was charming if a bit worn; the bathroom was nice, with Tommy Bahama toiletries, (who knew Tommy Bahama even did toiletries?), but teeny. There was an extra ten dollar per day charge for a mini fridge and if you don't retrieve your "pool towel card" when dropping off your beach towels, you may be charged $25 per towel. I recommend springing for a direct beachfront room if possible.

Room Tip: Choose direct ocean front if possible. Second choice would be to be as close to the ocean on the sid...

After lots of ethereal thoughts and astronomical comparisons , I did something equal to taking Pluto off the planet list : I upgraded a review rating from four to five stars. Reasoning: Jupiter Beach Resort, while not a five star property, is priced so reasonably that it fits into a rare category; a place where you feel like you are getting more than what you paid for;in other words exceptional value. The resort itself, without an overly impressive exterior has a well appointed and pricey looking interior; dark wood and marble with clean and attractive bars, restaurants and common areas . The uniformed staff is professional and for the most part VERY friendly and helpful with a few less informed newbies in the mix. The beach side bar and restaurant are bustling and breezy with a great staff and better than average food, reasonable drinks and tiki style entertainment; but the real star of this gem is the location. From the balconies to the private beach, the views are heavenly and the resort is hidden away just enough to feel like a private club. I could go on on on but here are my ratings of the VIP stuff:

Room Quality : **** Smaller with GREAT , cozy bedding and awesome views ( 4th floor up)

Service;**** Friendly , friendly and helpful....almost five stars

Price ; ***** Great price , though I went at the end of the season, the year round prices are excellent

Location ;***** Perfect hideaway type location

Amenities ; **** Good food, better than average workout room, nice pool , beach side restaurant and bar (ask for a delicious local craft beer).

Negatives ; Minor stuff, one or two grumpy staff, no mini fridge in room, concierge was not very helpful;

Overall , a fantastic weekend getaway without a NASA budget, cant wait for a return trip to Jupiter

Room Tip: Definitely get a fourth floor or higher for the views

Love Jupiter beach resort!!!! Been here many times, one my top 10 favorite places ever to stay! Rick was so pleasant and helpful! Just arrived and already dreading leaving in 3 days. It is a little hidden paradise .... Don't get any better than this! Toby did a great job helping with our reservation!

What an awesome staycation and 40th anniversary celebration! Inside and outside the place is meticulous! From the pool to the hot tub to the beach side bar to the beach access we were very content! We had an ocean view room on the 8th floor which was breath-taking! The staff was friendly and helpful and you can tell that their goal was to please! Thank you for such a gem in Jupiter... We will definitely be back!

My wife and I have stayed here twice, including last weekend for an extended getaway.

It is a consistently nice resort at a modest cost.

The location is great - away from the busier portions of Palm Beach County yet within a short ride of anything we wanted to do or see.

The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful.

Room service was great.

We stayed in an upgraded room with a full ocean view. It was clean, up to date and with a perfect full ocean view. (There was a tremendous storm in the middle of the night between 1:00 and 3:00 am Sunday morning and it was a spectacular site to see, with all of the lightning and the pounding rain storm).

The beach is small but very nice (lots of small fish close to shore and the water was crystal clear). There were some rocks so one has to be careful where they step.

The pool area is clean, well organized and family riendly.

Parking is adequate.

Sinclair's Ocean Grille is ok, but it is overpriced - there are simply better options in the area. (One goes there out of convenience, not because it is the best option).

If you are looking for a nice, safe, relatively quiet, moderately priced resort for a family getaway or for a romance junket, Jupiter Beach Resort is a great choice.

Room Tip: Consider upgrading to a "Full Ocean View" Room. Having had a partial ocean view last time...
