We arrived at Ft. Lauderdale to drive down to Key West the same day, but due to the storm Fay, the road to Key West was shut down and tourists were mandatorily evacuated from Key West. So, we had to look for a place to stay somewhere near Ft. Lauderdale, just to wait for the storm to pass.
We stopped by Barnes & Noble to get accommondation infomation. The ad we saw first when I opened the Travel Magagine was Jupiter Beach Resort.
We gave a shot, and we soon learned that we gave a great shot.
The room we stays was very nice. The dark thick beams that run on the celling make the room noble and gorgeous. The vast view of the Atlantic Ocean we saw from the 4 sliding doors was overwelmimg. It had a nice balcony where we often sat and chatted looking over the ocean.
The beach was right outside of the hotel which was very very convenient. The Jupiter Beach is noted for turtle nestling, and we saw several small sticks that showed where the nests were. I definately wanted to see turtles at night, but because of the storm Fay, I missed it.
Our room price was $179 per night. $179 was a rate for a "half-ocean room", but the friendly front desk clerk upgraded it to a "full-ocean view room" with no extra charge for us.
And we had free beautiful breakfast every morning.
Moreover, when I saw the payment receipt when we checked out a few days later, there was $50 credit as well.
The hotel was full of nice sweet citrus smell from Spa. I loved it.
We would like to go back to the rerort again.
