Comfort food, reasonable prices, good service and clean surroundings. Who could ask for anything more at lunch

“A must when in the area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013 via mobile

We've been to Toojays twice this week, both times for lunch, once eating in and once take out. We had to wait a long time both times, but we love the food. The chicken soup with matsa (?) balls was fabulous, as was the French onion soup. Over the two visits the four of us tried four different kinds of chicken salad. All were great. We love the pickles, but I've had better cole slaw. I had a chopped salad today. Even without the eggs, I couldn't even finish half of it. A really good value for $8.95.

“Incredible Deli - Must DO”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

If you want a great sandwich, soup, potato pancakes, blitzes, and much more - this is definitely worth going all the time. You will need/want to keep going back - great food, average prices, average atmosphere. The food makes you want to come back. I haven't had a bad meal yet. Service people could be a little friendlier - but who cares when the food is this good - at least it is quick service.

“I LOVE this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

If you can't find something to love about TooJay's, you're not looking. This is comfort food to the max.
You can go for breakfast or lunch. If you happen to find the Cabbage Beef soup on the "specials" board, you are in luck. Don't pass it up, if only a cup.
Corned Beef, Pastrami, you name it, they got it. Even the Turkey Pastrami is great.
If you can make it through the Jay-normous Sandwiches, don't forget the "Killer Cake". It's for the Choc-aholic. Yummy.

“If you love deli - this is the place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Corn beef and pastrami to kill. Great comfort food. My spouse even had an excellent grilled cheese on challah. Save room for desert and their famous chocolate killer cake. Only complaint was the air conditioning made the place so cold - we could have used a winter coat. But great food - great prices!
