Went to the Dive Bar for the first time because we heard that the food and scenery was good, so we took out-of-town guests there. There was a party of six of us and one child and we were seated at 12:15 pm for a lunch on Sunday. Whereas the food was good and the scenery was nice, I have to say that the service was poor. It took much longer than usual for the waitress to come by our table just to take our drink order. By the time she came by we were ready to give our food order, which we did. It took the food longer than usual to get to us, but it was good. The problem was that one of the meals didn't come at the same time with the others. The server who brought our food advised that it would be right out and we all figured that he just didn't have enough room on the tray for that plate. However, it never came and it took a while for our waitress to make it back to our table so we could advise her of what had happened. She left and came back five minutes later to advise that it would be out shortly. (The cooks had obviously forgotten to make her sandwich.) More time went by and our waitress came back and still no meal. The waitress did apologize and our guest was gracious about it, telling her "no problem and not to bother because everyone else was just about done with their meal". As it was, the meal did arrive about five minutes later and by this time everyone else had finished their meal. Again, the food was good; it was the service and attention to the details that could use a lot of improvement.
