“Fabulous Nature Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

ok....I am an animal enthusiast so there is bias here. Having said that, this Rehab Center is more interesting than any major zoo I have been to and once again....FREE. Although donations are welcomed. You are not looking down into an animal enclosure or walking down asphalt at attractions. These animals are simpy in holding pens during rehab so you are very close to them. They have done an incredible job of making you feel like you are part of the park as opposed to an onlooker. I started to get a little Jurassic Park nerves due to the uncrowded conditions along the swamp walk and nature trails which were designed to mimic old Florida. Lots of birds including Eagles, Owls, Peregrine Falcons and various water fowl. Several Florida Panthers and Black Bears only a chain link fence away. Nice poisonous snake exhibit and , of course, Crocs and Alligators. Staff was happy to answer questions although they are mainly there for the animals rehab work. Just loved this place.

“Must visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

This is such a wonderful place to visit, it's free to get in and the layout and displays of all the animals is wonderful for children and adults. It's a must stop on vacation or year round. Just leave a small donation in the boxes outside, they take all injured animals and try to bring them back to good health so they can return to the wild!

“Love those animals!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

A very nice, compact wildlife area with lots of variety of native birds, reptiles and mammals. I particularly like the Florida panthers and I really like seeing the little bandit raccoons in cages! I think the best part is the sort of wild, swampy cypress groves with their incredible tree and plant life. Price by donation...be generous! The gift shop is also a great place to pick up unique souvenirs for the children.

“A lovely little wildlife refuge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

This little wildlife refuge is dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured or mistreated Florida wildlife. They do a great job of educating the public and helping animals in need. This is a non-profit organization, so there is no admission charge but donations are welcome. It a beautiful place, and if you are an animal lover, this is one you will want to visit.
