“A little bit of nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

I read about Riverbend park on trip advisor and since it was a little too chilly for the beach we decided to explore. It was a nice place to walk on nice wide pathways. Peacocks walked around the parking area. You could rent bikes, canoes, or kayaks, or take guided canoe trips. We didn't do that this time but will probably return to do one of those things another time. It's nice and flat and would be a good place to ride a bike.

“Great easy kayaking and biking for the whole family in a beautiful natural setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2012 via mobile

The bike trails are flat and well maintained easy to use for all ages
Kayaks can be rented and most people head down the Loxahatchee river but there are many interesting waterways in the other direction into the park. There is a point where you can carry your kayak from one waterway into another with many areas where you can enjoy peace and solitude in the most beautiful natural surrounding. There are some areas where u have to paddle thru high Sawgrass and very narrow tributaries making it adventurous
And yes there are some alligators as well.
There are many places in the park to picnic for the less adventurous
Thumbs up ! Bring the kids

“Great riding and walking paths”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2012

Since PBC has redone Riverbend Park with 15+ miles of walking and bicycle paths along with several picnic areas. The park is a great place to spend the day with many shady areas.

“Definitely worth the visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2012

This is a wonderful park with lots of trails. You can walk, kayak, bike, and picnic. It is an inspiring place. Lots of wildlife. My wife and I have encountered birds of all sorts (including the park's peacocks), turtles, tortoises, deer, snakes, alligators, etc. The park is very nicely maintained. You may want to bring your own water and nutrition as there are not many amenities at the park, but there are port-a-potties. There is a shop and kayak/canoe rental, but check for hours There are nice picnic areas with pavilions for get-togethers. Bike paths connect to canal paths and to some of the longer hiking paths in the area. Historic battleground of Seminole wars. Enjoy. Please port out your trash.
