“Great and Unique Atmosphere. Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2009

Finally went to Guanabanas for the first time for lunch yesterday. We got there a little before 12 to beat the rush and were able to get a table immediately. It was packed by the time we left though. I love the atmosphere with all the lush tropical foliage. Definately makes you feel like you're on vacation even when you're a local. The food was great too. I had the house salad with blackened dolphin and the dolphin was the best I've had in some time. The only negative thing I can say is the wait staff is not the best. They all seem to be very young and a little clueless. Regardless of that one issue, I highly recommend Guanabanas for anyone wanting a great meal in a great atmosphere.

“Not worth the wait”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2009

We recently waited over two hours to dine on a Sunday evening. The jungle theme is definitly fun. When we were seated for dinner, our waitress forgot to fill us in on all the menu items they were out of. There were some hits - grouper, some misses - fish fingers (bland & lukewarm), some ok - the ribs. Over all not worth the wait. Its probably better to go for a drink and dine elsewhere.

insane location. you wont find anything else like this place around. i've had my share of cocktails here and have only eaten dinner twice. the lemon butter pompano is out of this world. it puts you in a wonderful caribbean state of mind. def worth checking out. just expect to wait...its not a little hidden gem anymore...the word is out!

“Jupiter imports Costa Rica ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2008

Guanabanas is now reopened after two year wait. The lush, fantastic beautiful landscaping is reminiscent of Costa Rica.
They have their opening jitters to work out but the food hits an A+ right from the start. In less than two weeks we have visited 4X with each visit showing improvement in working out kinks in wait times and service. We have tried mutliple items from the snapper, dolphin, chicken to wings and nachos. Operations manager Brian S. has been on the spot in resolving any issues we had and has done a great job. We look forward to returning many more times as we are in walking distance to this lovely spot.
