Owner description: This is a great seaturtle conservation organization. They have a turtle hospital and small education center. The most notable thing with this organization is the during seaturtle nesting season (May - August), they take you on guided walk to watch the turtles up close.

“A must place to visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Bring your friends and family (including children of all ages) to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to see the injured and ill sea turtles they care for in large tanks in the "yard" and peek through the glass into the hospital. It's a great way to learn about the animals, and about what we humans can do to improve their chances for survival. There is a wonderful exhibit hall, several special programs you can sign up for, play areas, and lots of docents who are happy to share what they know with you. There is a great gift shop too.

The center is located in a park with ample parking so you can go to the beach (the ocean is just across the road). The park has covered picnic tables, showers, rest rooms, and a playground.

“Educational Visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

We love taking the kids to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The volunteers and staff there are knowledgeable and you walk away learning so much. The museum is free, but they do suggest a $5 donation. They also have an excellent gift shop with gifts ranging from $.25 on up to $800. We bought a keepsake ornament for our tree with the turtles engraved. This gift shop helps pay to heal the sick turtles.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I can't say enough about this place. I reccommend this place to anyone who likes turtles as much as I do. First and foremost, this place is free! It is a beautiful facility. It is operated on donations. We were able to get very close to several tanks and look at the injured turtles. You can see them from the top and a side view window. My children were just amazed. We watched them cleaning and evaluating a new rescue while we were there. I can't wait to go back.
