Description: If you want fresh, unadulterated fish or seafood that is not dressed up in the plastic atmosphere of a chain, you've come to the right place. The New England Restaurant offers quality and value as well as honest true-to-its-roots fare. Run like a ship, the friendly, down-to-earth staff is like a tightly knit community that resembles the hardworking families of the northeast for whom fishing is not only their lifeline, but also their passion. New England Restaurant is a well-run operation that knows its product and doesn't stray from its intention to serve fresh, tasty seafood with pride and efficiency at a fair price.

“Lobster?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014 via mobile

I asked the waitress and was told the lobster was from Maine. Started with lobster bisque (ok) and New England Clam Chowder (good). My husband had shrimp scampi, nice portion, just OK. I had sea scallops (very good) and lobster claw (not very big pieces and not flavorful ). Very unimpressed.

“Well worth the stop!”

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious fish, crisp hot French fries, the freshest lettuce I've yet seen in a restaurant! Friendly waitresses. Reasonable prices.

“Somewhat disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

Two at our table had shrimp scampi. There were plenty of good-sized shrimp in the dish. I had blackened talapia (sp?) with three large fish fillets that were properly cooked. The scampi, however, had no garlic and the talapia that had little, if any, blackening seasoning. We did not ask for do-overs but I did ask the server about the blackening. She said it looked like it usually did. Three others in our party were happy with their meals.

“Wish this was near my house so we could go once a week.”

The fresh fish is great. The staff is friendly. Even the soups are good. This was the best fish we found.
