My family along with the in-laws stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a getaway/wedding. On the pro side the hotel is beautiful with some minor cosmetic damage in the rooms, the location is perfect, and the pool with tiki bar is relaxing. The breakfast at the little restaurant was surprisingly delicious.
The cons for this site was the service. I rented three rooms, including splurging for an ocean view for my the parents. During the night the parents A/C broke and in Florida with the humidity/heat it was a rough night. They called down in the morning and a serviceman was promptly sent up. He was unable to fix the A/C and so they were moved to another room. The downside was the new room didn't have the beautiful balcony of the first. While I am glad the hotel was attentive and got the issue fixed, I was disappointed that there was no offer to even reduce the cost of that first miserable night for the folks or, at the least, offer some bonus Marriott points. In addition, while the restaurant staff and front desk were extremely friendly, the house cleaning staff was far from it and seemed upset when we popped into our room to grab some supplies while she cleaned.
Overall we would stay again because the location is unbeatable, but as a new Marriott member it certainly turned me off a bit overall.
