“great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013 via mobile

We recently stayed here for 9 nights. The location is perfect for beachlovers ans everything you need is within walking distance. The room we stayed in (162) was nice and large. The cleaning staff does a good job. The pool is nice, but could use some more shade.
Anyways, good value for your money.
We will be back!

We attended a wedding here and stayed on a few days more. Had a downstairs room opposite the lobby not ideal when a party in the venue room opposite and noise until the early morning. The suite was ideal but the TV could have been bigger as at the end of the big room. The wedding food was lovely and breakfast at the hotel nice but expensive so went somewhere else the next days. Just a short stroll from the lovely beach which I did not bother with a chair just sat on the beach. Big car park which I got a voucher for so no need to pay which was a bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor by the lobby can be noisey due to the bar and people walking back to their...

This hotel is so pretty...very reasonable. 3 bars and restaurant on site. Walking distance to beach. If you need beach chairs and umbrellas, go to Clearwater Beach to rent them. Parking at Clearwater beach is $16.00 for the whole day or you can pay hourly. 2 beach chairs and umbrella is $25.00. My only complaint ....staff not very helpful. Manager at gift shop and man at front desk could care less about helping you. A manager from sales went out of her way to help me. I wish I could remember her name.
My sisters and I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

I loved loved loved this hotel! We have stayed in smaller rooms at this fab hotel and have been completely happy with them too but on our last trip we were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a villa that over looked the harbour and it was an amazing room with a living room, a dining room, full fitted kitchen, huge bed, dressing room and bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. The living area opened onto a private wooden deck that had amazing views of the waterways with all of the boats and dolphins - I could [and did] sit there all day relaxing. There is a nice simple restaurant and bar that's nice with live music over the weekend [and a few week days I think] but you have to make time to have a drink at the pool bar with Nick - super friendly guy who will keep you hydrated in the lovely sunshine. They are all a great bunch and will make you very welcome. Indian Rocks itself is a cool laid back place that's busier at the weekend but a great place to unwind

Room Tip: Rooms on the harbourside are nicer and if you check in mid week you are more likely to get these

Can't speak highly enough about this place, it was fabulous, VERY happy indeed with the venue! Staff were very friendly & helpful, especially Charles on reception, THANK YOU CHARLES for your kindness! We stayed in a fully fitted, gorgeous suite (room 105), very clean with plenty of space & good air-con plus ceiling fans. We looked out onto the bay, the hotel is on stilts over the water on that side & just below our balcony were many small fishing boats that would return each day with plenty of fish, then prepare their catch for selling on. The whole place had film set surroundings & settings. Indian Rocks Beach is a gorgeous location, there's an incredible, long white beach at the end of the road leading from hotel (just a short walk away). You can see dolphins, pelicans & many types of beautiful birds frequently whilst on the beach. For the local beach take your own beach towels as it's not commercial there (no sun beds to hire etc..) but you can rent chairs, umbrellas from the hotel apparently. Back at the hotel pool; towels, beds etc .. are plentiful & free. Nearby are approx 8 restaurants/bars, ice cream parlor & some take-aways too, all within walking distance. A trolley (bus) runs every 30 mins from the road close to hotel & for $2 each journey or $4.50 for ALL DAY TRAVEL you jump on/off anywhere between Clearwater & St.Petes beach. Can recommend visiting 'Johns Pass' approx 7 miles from hotel, LOTS of great food places, bars, music, shopping, dolphin watching & feel-good atmosphere. If we head back to this area of Florida we would stay at this Holiday Inn again without hesitation! Sad to have left it behind. K W

We just returned from a mini-vacation at this hotel. As Platinum members we were offered a free upgrade to a villa. Imagine our surprise and pleasure! The villa was a HUGE two story affair with a full kitchen, granite counters, new appliances,a balcony on the intra-coastal waterway and two flatscreen TVs. The master is situated upstairs while the large foldout is downstairs. Privacy for Mom and Dad! There is a full dining set, furniture group, desk and chair and on the balcony there is patio furniture outside. There is also a Jacuzzi in the bath as well as a huge walk-in shower. The hotel, which is really a resort, has a marina on the property as well as a gift shop, mini golf, a full service restaurant that offers room service, two pools, a tiki bar and sand volleyball. Now, I'm sure I missed many of the other amenities but I also noticed a large conference center and secure underground parking. This hotel is NOT situated directly on the beach but it's only a short walk using those sticks that protrude from your rear that God gave you. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Nick waited on us at the tiki hut and Sam brought us my birthday dinner.

Room Tip: If you want space and privacy, get a villa!

Rooms are always clean and comfortable, and they have a good restaurant that has a nice variety. Have had everything from breakfast to dinner there. A block off the beach, so the location is ideal. Two pools, one that's more for kids and one that's generally quieter that normally has less of a crowd, which also has a jacuzzi nearby.
