We choose Brewmaster in Indian Rocks based in their website. The menu looked great. We called ahead for seating as all other restaurants in the area were packed. When we arrived it should have been our first clue of what we were getting into since they place was maybe half full.
It was decorated like a typical worn hotel restaurant (it is located adjacent to a Holiday Day in on the bay side of Indian Rocks). That was fine. Our server was very nice and we got off to a great start with some drinks. We began to notice that a family next to us who were finished eating when we arrived seemed to be having trouble getting their check.
As we waited for our food, we had two different servers come over, one to take our order (already placed with the first guy) and the other asked us what we ordered (?). In the meantime, the family's check had still not arrived and another couple behind us was having trouble as well.
As our server wondered by 15 minutes later, I ordered another drink. An additional twenty minutes and no second drink later, our food arrived. Still the family is waiting and the couple behind us are also.
The food and looked okay until my husband cut open his potato, it was rotten and black on the inside! Ugh! Well, things happen to we let them know and they were to bring another. The steaks were very good. Second potato arrived about 10 minutes later, still no second drink. Second potato was rotten also! We never saw another server to tell about second rotten baked potato.
Original family still waiting in check, couple behind us at this point very upset, another family beside us mad that we got our food when they have not and they were there first. Just generally an uncomfortable atmosphere. After about 10 more minutes, we left cash on the table and just left.
It may be simply a case of poor staff, but we will never eat there again, and definitely do not recommend to anyone.
