DO NOT DINE HERE WITH SMALL CHILDREN!!!
My husaband and I attempted to dine here with out 2 1/2 year old son while on vacation and had to leave before ordering due to the rude and highly inappropriate conduct of the manager. Shortly upon arriving at the restaurant (early for dinner - shortly after 5:30pm), the manager came over and asked that we have "respect for the other patrons" because our son was rather loud as we were trying to get him to sit in the highchair that had taken several minutes to get to the table. We were appauled! Our son was a little loud but certainly not out of line and not at all atypical of children his age. We were so taken aback and insulted thay we left. Whether at home or on vacation, we have frequently dined at far more exclusive and expensive establishments with our son and have never experienced such rude, injustified and inappropriate treatment.

I remember these people very well, and this was the second visit by these very nice people. We pride ourselves on making everyone feel very comfortable at our restaurant, and we are VERY CHILD FRIENDLY. However for the benefit of all of our guests we cannot allow out of control children screaming continuously, at what is usually a very peaceful environment, disrupt the rest of our guests. Being a father myself, I understand that children do sometimes get antsy and cry, it is the parents responsibility to take that child outside until he calms down. They obviously need to improve their parenting skills. I am a hands on owner and it was me that nicely asked them to please be a little more considerate to the other diners. It was like I asked them to shoot their child. I have been in business for 13 years and I always try to do my best to make our customers dining experience a wonderful one. I can tell you that we have many guests who have children who act the same way as their child, the only difference was that the parents apologize to me and take their child out of the restaurant until he or she calms down. It is the right thing to do.

We went to this resturant for an early evening meal and were rather disappointed. The food was good if a bit over priced for the quality, but the enjoyment was impacted by the slow and sloppy service. This was even more surprising as the place was half empty. The girl who served us explained that it was her first night and that we had to wait 15 mins for our first drink as she was preparing the starters. Mistakes on the first night are understandable but why did the rest of the staff let her struggle. A disappointment after reading some upbeat reviews on this site.

“best italian food in florida”

I recently went to Indian Rocks Beach on vacation with my family and a friend of mine highly recommended villa gallace. after days of eating hardly anything but seafood, my sis and i decided to try this italian restaurant. it was very nice on the inside, and since we arrived early in the evening, we didn't have to wait for a table. everything was delicious..the bread, the salad, the soup, the entrees, and the dessert. we had hoped to go back once more before our vacation ended, but we never had the time. while my family returned to missouri, i am fortunate enough to live only 2 hours from indian rocks beach. i made a day trip out to the beach today, and stopped at villa gallace for dinner before heading home. again, i was seated right away, and got more food than i could eat! i've eaten their minestrone soup, baked ziti, salad, grouper cartoccio, mousse, and tiramisu. while it is a little pricey, you certainly get what you pay for, both in taste and in portion! i certainly hope to go to villa gallace many more times in the future!

If you want some simple, great tasting italian food - this is the place. The service is good and the sauces are fantastic. Very nice veal and pasta. Very clean restaurant run by nice people. I'd highly recommend this place.

We ate at Villa Gallace on our recent trip to Indian Rocks Beach. We have 2 small children - and the staff at Villa Gallace went over the top out of their way to please us. The food was wonderful, the salads were great, our pasta was fantastic (I had the gnocchi, very good). We also had 2 desserts, which were also delicious. I can't say enough about the service, our server was one of the best ever. (and we eat out A LOT)
