Stayed at the Tuckaway Suites over the July 4th week. When I booked the room the reservation clerk suggested an ocean side room on the second floor, glad I listened to her. What a great room with a beautiful view from our balcony. The sunrise every morning is breath taking. The room had a queen size bed, small kitchen area, table for two, refrigerator, microwave, two burner stove, toaster and coffee maker. The unit had a sofa bed which I would only recommend for children. The first and second floor units have a porch or balcony with chairs and small table which are great for morning coffee or cocktails at night. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. This appears to be mostly a residential town, with very few hotels so the beaches are very empty. The pool was a welcome sight after several hours on the hot beach. The facility has washer and dryer, outside picnic area with barbeque (they provide charcoal) and beach chairs and children’s toys (left by previous visitors) for the beach. If your looking for a nice place to stay and rest (we were recovering after a week at Disney), this is the place to stay. While your there try Bizzarro’s Pizza at the next corner, great NY style pizza, Del’s Lemon Ice (famous in Rhode Island) and the Cold Stone Creamery (excellent Ice Cream on a hot day) all very close.
