“Not for Foodies”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Food is unsophisticated. Probably Ok for indigenous folks, but don't expect too much. The view on the river is nice, but quite confusingly, there are two menus, one for inside and one for on the deck. I don't get it.

On the bright side, there is a nice beer list at reasonable prices and an Ok wine list also at reasonable prices. Probably a good place to watch the sunset, quaff a few beers, and eat some nachos.

“Nice water views, good food and service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

Overall, a good experience. One issue though...my wife ordered a chicken pasta dish. The sauce was salty and too thick. When she mentioned it to the waitress, she apologized but did nothing about it. While my food and the rest of our party's food was good, I am sure my wife will not want to go back. It's a shame they do not know how to handle a complaint.

“German Week Terrible There meals were the same on another date”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

We ordered off the German Menu, One of our guest asked if she could substitute one of the sides with something else, Told no but could order the side for an extra charge, When our meal finally came after more than 25 minutes, all my side that was supposed to be with the meal were different, I asked the waitress as to why, she explained that the chef could change the sides, well the Germany potato salad was like some sort of potato soup, The red Cabbage had way to much vinegar, worst Germany meal ever. Waitress never brought the water over to the table after being asked several times ( waitress with the pony tail ) Icing on the cake, when we ordered our desert, asked the waitress if we could have just a small one scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side, she explained that would be a up-charge, We asked if Basil could approve since all the sides were not what we ordered and the meal was cold, Waitress came back and stated that he would not, well That will be the last time ever!! and that 25 cents for the extra cost of the ice cream will cost Basil a lot more.

“German Week”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We went to Seagrass again yesterday for German Week. Last week we went for Ireland Week, and it was great. For German Week, my wife had schnitzel and I had brats, German potato salad, and red cabbage. Both meals were very good and served in an appealing way. But the best part is sitting outside on the enclosed porch on the banks of the Homosassa River. It's the most peaceful around. The only downside was the service was a tad slow. This problem seems to be universal these days.
