“Fine Dining/Sports Bar -- Your Choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Same menu, same prices, two personalities. Lobstahs has both a fine dining side and a sports bar side. Menu heavily focused on lobster as the name would suggest. We ordered the special , mahi mahi, grilled. Came with a dinner salad, house potato (baked in butter), and vegetable of the day which was broccoli and cauliflower. Oh! Not to forget the garlic bread which came with a whole head of garlic baked and presented in a saucer of olive oil. Our server Danielle was friendly and efficient. Before we left, she took us over to the fine dining side to see Mungo, the 15 pound lobster, estimate to be 91 years old. He's for sale, but I say let him live :-)

“Great spot-- trying real hard”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We were looking for a great spot to have dinner on Anna Maria Island and we found it--Lobstahs! Really well decorated and outfitted restaurant. Great options for dining indoors, outdoors or in the Tiki hut/ sports bar area. We ordered the lobster dinner for two and while tasty, it came to us barely warm-- on a Sunday night when hardly anyone was there. It shoulda been staeming hot. Also, the oysters, clams, and mussels had been over-steamed significantly. Then, i had to ask for "any bread?" to find out that giving us their signature bread dish had been neglected by the server. We'll go back again for sure and will be hoping for this serving glitch to be worked out.
It's clear to me this spot will be a hit, as long as the issues are eliminated.

“Manager needs a course on how to treat customers”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We were on the island for our daughters wedding and met up with family the day after to get to talk a little. We had already eaten elsewhere but met with the rest of the family at Lobstah's and intended to have a few drinks and family time while they were eating. There was 7 family members seated and had just gotten their meals when we arrived. My husband went to get some extra chairs for the 3 of us to put at the end of the table. The waitress said we couldn't do that but there was a booth opening up near the table so we sat there and ordered some drinks. The manager came over to our booth before our drinks arrived and asked what we were doing sitting there and if we were eating or what. We told him we were waiting on our drinks. After a short time my husband was standing at the booth talking to the two of us and getting ready to pay our bill, which by the way was $23 for two drinks, and the manager came up behind him and was looking to see if we still had drinks or just sitting there. he was very rude and insulting. I sincerely hope he doesn't treat every one like that, the restaurant was pretty empty so maybe other people knew better than to go in there.

“Best chicken wings ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

I don't eat lobster (allergic) so I ordered the chicken wings and they were UNBELIEVABLE. We ate at the bar and had great service and a fun time. Nice place!
