“It Doesn't Get Any Better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2011

My wife and I travel to Anna Maria every year for our annual Florida vacation. This year we were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and wanted this trip to be very memorable. This was our first visit to the Mainsail Inn and it won't be our last.

Our beachfront suite was very high end with a gourmet kitchen with granite counter-tops,breakfast bar,and top of the line appliances. The walk in glass showers are big enough for 6 people (not that we would consider it) and the bedrooms are marvelous.

The beach was less than 25 yards from our patio, and if you get too hot tanning around the ocean it is a short walk to the pool.

The staff are courteous and efficient, and there is a full time maintenance worker on staff making sure everything is ship shape. The entire facility was very clean .

This is the very best place to stay on the island and we will definitely be back next September.

Beautiful. I saw reviews on here about this place and thought they were too good to be true, but they weren't. The suite was immaculate. Clean, well decorated, all the things we needed. We had to spend more time indoors than planned because our son was sick but we didn't mind because the place was so nice. In suite laundry was so easy, next time we'll pack less. The service was friendly and helpful. It's well situated on the island. Great for families and since ours is still young we'll definatley be back.

Room Tip: We were in suite 11 and while it wasn't a oceanview suite, we had an encredible suite. It had it...

We've now stayed here two times. Beautiful accommodations, right on the beach, great customer service, nice pool, etc. And the island is a perfect destination for families. We will be back again and again.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, get the oceanfront rooms. The view is amazing, as are the sunsets.

The Mainsail is kept immaculately clean. The staff is great...attending to little minor issues like a burnt out light bulb within minutes. Margot and Tay were great. What an amazing place to stay on an amazing island...

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The only downfall was the view-make sure that you get BEACHFRONT. The staff was so helpful, the cleaning people were amazing and they all did a wonderful job! Very well maintained and the furnishings were perfect. Everything had a special touch added to it. One of the nicest places that we have ever stayed!

Hi. I know this review is late in coming ....we stayed at Mainsail for 3 or 4 days in late August 2010 ...after a week's stay in Siesta Key. I actually thought I'd posted a review but see I didn't post one so wanted to give you my take on Mailsail. It was me, my hubby and twin girls - who were 8 at the time. I selected Mainsail based on the reviews and postings on Tripadvisor and we were happy with the accomodations (and this is after staying 7 days at the great Hyatt Siesta Key Beach in Siesat Key). The place is clean and has modernized equipment including washer and dryer in the unit, The pool is small but nice and there are some pool toys for kids to use. We all like that 'homely' feeling of the Mainsail. My kids liked being able to open the back porch door and be steps away from the beach and pool. The employees are nice and helpful. I would stay here again. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us while in Anna Maria Island. It rained all but the first day of our stay and it rained hard almost all day so we didnt get to go to the beach while there and didn't venture out too many places except to eat. We did eat 2 times at Beach Bistro which was fabolous ... even for my twin girls. So the Mainsail was great but not the weather.

Having stayed on Anna Maria Island before, we were a little more picky with our location this time around. Not to say there are any bad parts of the island, because there isn't. But, we wanted to be right on the beach and have the small beach town feel with up-to-date amenities. Well, I couldn't have found a better place. Do yourself a favor, and book here. It's a small place, right on the sand, and close to everything Anna Maria has to offer. We wouldn't consider staying in another place.

Room Tip: You want a beach front room! Don't settle for less.
