“Sailfish - loved everything about it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Visited early June 2013 and though storms were inland, the beach was beautiful. The white sand is cool and soft, and the breeze makes it seem cooler than the actual high 80's. The Sailfish was wonderful. It was clean and suited my taste and needs perfectly. You are directly on the beach. Every moment is a picture postcard. The manager Jeannie is so gracious and pleasant. Her friendly demeanor and her care of the beautiful tropical foliage was much appreciated. She is there when you need her, but doesn't impede on your "island" time. Though the Property is near a public beach (they have volleyball), we always had space on the sand and it made the area festive having families enjoying the day. Enjoyed an eco-tour with Captain Kathy and took part in an early Wed Turtle watch. Enjoyed both very much. Tyler's homemade ice cream was the best and Duffy's does have a great burger. Glad to have found real food at Minnie's. The owners are really great people and they have really good Breakfast /lunches. Met some good people who had the other gulf front suite & we were all happy as clams with having found the Sailfish.

Room Tip: Can't beat the gulf front. Open the sliding door and you can see the beach and hear the water. A...

"Spacious one-bedroom flats directly on the Gulf of Mexico...just open your door and the beach is at your footsteps." That's what it says on their postcard and it's true...and soooo much more. Our suite was nicely beach-decorated, clean and bright...oooh and beautiful plush bath towels!!! We've been to AMI about 5 times and have been well satisfied not having an ocean view but now I only want Sailfish Beach Resort...and not only a view but the whole gulf immediately before you. Did I mention the resident heron? It's magical.

Let me add that Jeanne is the on-site manager. She's great - personable, knowledgeable, accomodating. Thank you,Jeanne.

We were first time visitors to Anna Maria Island, and Sailfish was amazing. Our little suite #2 consisted bedroom in turquoise and white, a cool retro turquoise bathroom, and a living room/kitchen area with wonderful views of the Gulf. The white sand was only ten steps from our door, and the little private beach area meant we could enjoy cocktails in the sun while we tried to warm up from our Colorado winter. The waves lulled us to sleep from our bedroom, and Harry the Heron was at the screen door to greet us every morning, waiting for his hot dog. The suite was equipped with everything we could need, and the grocery store was a short walk away. Jeannie, the manager, was wonderful. We came home with shells, a littel sunburn, and a lot of wonderful memories to last us through the rest of the winter. We usually head to the Caribbean for our beach time, but we will definitely come back to Saifish.

Room Tip: Two of the suites are on the ocean side of the building - make sure you grab one if you can!

My husband spent summers as a child on AMI and we revived that tradition a few years ago at the same resort his family took him. This year we decided to go somewhere different -- Sailfish -- and we are so glad we did. We've already booked next year. Right on the beach, on a quiet stretch of Gulf Drive but within walking distance of plenty of things to do, spotless, well-appointed unit and a wonderfully comfortable bed. Thank you, Jeanne!

In october 2012 we visited Anna Maria Island. Because of the good reviews we decided to stay in Sailfish Beach Resort. It was a very good decision :)
The beautiful beach is in front of the door. You have the possibility to take a long walk along the beach or just enjoy the sunset in front of your appartement on the patio.

The appartement is very comfortable and very nice furnished. You have everything what you need for a perfect stay. A kitchen, beach towels, a supermarkt a few minutes away,...

A big "thank you" to Jeanne. It was a really nice and pleasent stay.

Room Tip: Ask for the gulf front suite. The view to the sea is gorgeous

This place is fantastic. We had the condo on the beach (Apt 1 I believe) last August, and it was spectacular. The location cannot be beat, its right near Skinny's (the best burgers ever) and the Beach Cafe, so theres only a short walk to eat. If you prefer to cook in the kitchen in the condo you can walk over to the grocery store thats about a block away and stock up there. It's right on the beach, and you can hear and smell the ocean from everywhere on the property. It's well kept and clean and though its next to the public beach, I always felt like we had our own private beach in front of us. If we wanted to be around people we could walk 20 feet and be surrounded. We loved it so much we are going back this year!

We recently returned to the Sailfish for our second visit. Once again we were not disappointed. The condo has everything you could need and the location is one of the best on the island. If you want to hear the ocean from every room, have the sunset right out your back door and live the beach life this is the place for you. Thank you Jeanne for making us feel so welcome.

Room Tip: Throw in the extra to be beach side-totally worth it.
