We stayed here on 2 separate visits in December. We found the shuttle to and from the airport convenient. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The grounds were nice with an outdoor pool, hottub and patio facing a small lake. The breakfast included hard-boiled eggs, waffles, muffins, juices, fresh fruit and coffee. The hotel is near shopping and restaurants, but wish the walk was a little closer and more lit at night.The elevators and computer are both too slow. The staff,( with the exception of 1 of the shuttle drivers) were very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again, if the AARP rate continues to be so reasonable for the area.

The location is outstanding relative to access to airport and cruise port and to stores and eateries -- although if you're driving it's kind of off from the main drives so you should get clear directions for the first trip. Facilities and services are adequate and room rates are attractive for the area, the room was comfortable, furniture, gear and WiFi in good working order, and the free breakfast was decent. Hey, it is a La Quinta so one has to be realistic about expectations and it meets those.

However there are many signs of hard wear and tear -- elevators slow, smallish, at opposite ends of the hallway and showing evidence of very heavy traffic. Room doors out of square or missing mouldings, leaving gaps. Exit stair doors that have been opened and slammed so much they no longer quite close properly unless you shove them hard (and since some of them open onto exterior terraces, that can be a security concern).

If what you're looking for is clean lodging and a location set away from much traffic noise, yet very convenient to the airport and I95, this is a reasonable alternative.
