Loved this hotel located right on the beach.

The Room: Luxurious bedding, Bath and Body Works amenities, flat screen TV, spacious desk, and very clean room. Free high speed internet. I didn’t book or pay for an ocean view room, but the balconies on the side of the hotel give a view of the ocean without the price.

Gorgeous stretch of clean, sandy beach. Wasn’t crowded. Great bar overlooking the beach as well.

We stayed at the Marriott for 3 nights, November 10-13th, 2007, and had a fabulous stay. The staff at the hotel were absolutely the BEST. Every single person we encountered was courteous, helpful and extremely friendly. We loved the bar, which was on the boardwalk/beach and had lots of tv's to watch football. The location is good, being right next to the boardwalk with little places to stop at on the way. Some seemed a little 'seedy' but it was safe to walk the boardwalk at night. The food at the hotel was good, and the buffet breakfast was great. Didn't know it when I booked the hotel but the buffet breakfast came with the room, which was great ($13.95 each regularly). Sitting by the ocean, eating breakie and smelling the fresh sea air was the best.

The downside was the balcony was very small, the room was smaller (althought very nicely furnished) and the frosted glass to the bathroom was a distraction. However, we didn't want to spend a lot of time in our room, so it was oK. Why would you, with the Atlantic ocean outside your door. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the comforter was great. We cranked up the air and slept like babies.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to couples wanting a get away on a lovely beach, in a great hotel, with a fabulous view. Would definitely return to this hotel.

We made the mistake of booking into the Mataray Inn (see review). When we decided we couldn't sleep there I rang the Marriott and they were charming. They didn't know we had transferred but the found us the best room with the best view, they sorted out all our queries. It was wonderful, it was the same cost as the previous dreadful motel yet everything was perfect. If you stay any where else you would be mad. The resturant (we expected to be fleeced!) was reasonable, we had meal for four and a botle of wine for $85.00. The teens were a bit thrown out by the glass toilet door in the room which required some strategic avoidence! they discovered the classy toilets in the lobby which sorted them out. They really enjoyed the quality of the place and even my son was moved to compliment the place. he was quite put out we had to fly back the next day. What can I say, the beds were the very best I have tried and I travel alot - I slept like a log. The pool was teffific, outside bar was glamerous and they gave us a balcony room over looking the pool, free breakfast for the 2 teens, a 14.00 check out (can you believe it) they really were fab. If you stay over anywhere on your way to or from Orlando stay here, it's really, really good.

we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in October. Very friendly staff. We were upgraded to an oceanfront room. The oceanfronts have a private balcony. We left our balcony door open for the entire stay. Great local musicians playing in the open lounge below. The music was not loud enough to bother and was a really nice touch to a relaxing coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. The food and drinks are a bit pricey but, we did not have to leave the hotel for anyting. There is not much to do around so, have a car ready to travel. The hotel is only a short drive to some of the best beaches such as Haulover.
Again, great staff at check-in, during our stay and check-out. If you are looking for a nice, out of the way hotel, this is a gem.
