This is a great location for filghts and ports.

We booked our stay at the Comfort Inn a day before our cruise just incase of airline difficulties. Our shuttle to the hotel was fine. Checking in was OK. Our room was very out dated. The table was broken with nails sticking out, the bathroom had mold and mildew and I have never slept on a more uncomfortable bed in my life. It sank to one side and you felt like you were falling out of bed all night long. I also itched all night long. I only imagined that there were bed bugs!!! Yuck!!! The breakfast buffet was pretty good. No complaints there. Also, the shuttle to the cruise was smooth going. That was a plus. I wouldn't stay here again. There are plenty of other places in Ft. Lauderdale.

My husband and I made the terrible mistake of staying here the night before our cruise. I booked this hotel based on previous experience with the Comfort Inn chain. The pictures and the write up on the hotel site are 100% misleading. The only place that we could see where "multi million dollar renovations" were made was in the lobby. I knew we were in trouble when we checked in and we were told to "walk down the outside of the building to the end, get on the elevator to the 2nd floor, then walk all the way back along the outside of the building to the corner room". I have MS and use a cane so needless to say this was not the easiest thing in the world especially having to bring our luggage with us. Thank God it wasn't raining. Wonder if they provide umbrellas for you then? Then we arrived at our "renovated" room!!! Not sure what was renovated as it was disgusting! The bathroom was dirty, there were stains and leaks on the ceiling, stains in the tub, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, our alarm clock went off at 4am to loud music...we had not set it to go off. To get out of the room, I went and sat down by the pool. It was about 79-80 degrees out but strangely, no one was in the pool!! Can't blame them...I wouldn't set my big toe in it it was so filthy. We decided to go find something to eat before it got dark as it is not in a safe neighborhood. Our big choices within walking distance were McDonalds or Taco Bell. Gee, big decision huh? Didn't sleep well..either because of the horrible bed or fear of bugs or what. Next morning when we checked out, the girl charged us $2 for a safe we didn't even know was in the room much less used. She just basically said "Too bad". The attitude of the desk staff was appalling. They didn't care about the "customer" at all. Then it was a total disaster waiting for the shuttle to the cruise port. Felt like a herd of cattle. If you asked the staff any questions, you were basically ignored.
Don't bother writing to the Comfort Inn management...you will not even receive a response. We would sleep in our truck before we stayed in this hotel..and I use that word loosely..again.

We stayed here only for one night on Easter after our cruise, the customer service was great, our room was pretty spacious and clean, we did used the onsite shuttle van to reach a nearby restaurant and the driver was really nice and ontime. Will definately stay here again.
