My husband and I are very no frills. We want beach, good people, clean room and fun, this place had all that, it was AWESOME!! It is a small 13 room hotel that gives the best beach vibe with the Tiki Bar and the live music. The rooms are just right with the kitchen. The staff was more than accomadating and by the time you leave you feel like you have made some really great friends. Great location, within walking distance of many great things. It really is right on the beach and with the complimentary bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, grills and parking we felt like we could not have made a better choice.

At least once in your lifetime you must have a stay at the Riptide. Upon arrival it was abundantly clear that Scott takes his vested interest in the Riptide very seriously by his display of professionalism and sincere desire for his guests to enjoy their stay. When you see Veronica's bright smile you instantly realize her desire to make certain you are happy and content in your surroundings is genuine. If you enjoy (i) spectacular sunsets with your coffee, (ii) a fabulous day at the beach with a chair, towel, and book at your fingertips for the taking, (iii) a bike ride, run or stroll on the broadway, (iv) great live entertainment and huge laughs with your new found friends and an ice cold beverage, (v) a spontaneous family style meal in the courtyard, or (vi) to sit in peace on your own, then the Riptide is for you! If you typically enjoy a 5 star resort you may arrive bejeweled but you will instantly find to relax and truly let go is your time better well spent. I stayed at the Riptide hotel for a long weekend with two girlfriends. Right from the start the hospitality and friendliness of the staff was awesome. They took our bags because we were a couple hours early and before check in time, showed us the suntan lotion, beach chairs and towels and we were on our way to the beach! (Which is a lovely couple of steps away) From that point on, the Riptide made our weekend getaway worry free! The Tiki Bar is nice and the music all day was perfect. We sat on the beach each day until the sun went down just relaxing, drinking and listening to music! Of course being on the Broadwalk was perfect too. Just a short stroll from everything you need. I was sad to leave and I can't wait to do it again! Thanks to the awesome staff and Veronica!!
