“Very Good Option in Hollywood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

A La Turca is a Mediterranean restaurant in Hollywood downtown. My friends and I ordered a variety of appetizers to have a taste of different things. We tried the falafel platter, the goat cheese salad, the grape leaves, and the grilled cheese. All of them were really good and fresh. Prices are appropriate for the quality – very good value.

“Delicious food and excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013 via mobile

I ate lunch at a table outside the restaurant and really enjoyed the experience. Everything I was served, from the bread to the coffee to the falafel wrap, was delicious. The waitresses were all helpful, courteous and professional. I will definitely make an effort to eat here the next time I'm in the area.

“Great authentic Turkish restaurant but they've gotta get rid of the TV in the dinning room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Tried this place after a Yelp search. They honored our reservation. Service was prompt, friendly and quite knowledgable about the different dishes. They offer so many different mazes (starters) that bringing a cart full of samples to the table was quite helpful. They 4 of us ordered the sampler ($23) and it was delicious. The assorted grilled lamb dishes and the grilled shrimp special were spot on. Only real complaint was regarding the large flat screen TV in the dinning room. It's a nice, casual, upscale (upscale prices) place. The TV really takes away from the atmosphere. Get rid of it! It is so large it was distracting. I don't go out for a fine meal and expect to watch TV. Our bill for 4 people was around $200 including tip and a few glasses of wine and beer. Good place, good service, knowledgable waitstaff. Will go back - hoping the TV is gone by then...

“Sidewalk dining at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013 via mobile

Discovered this downtown Hollywood restaurant mecca on our way to the beach. On our way back we stopped and walked around looking for a place to have dinner. We choose the a la Turca. We each had a glass of Turkish wine that was fantastic, and the appetizers were great. We each had one of the kabobs and they were delicious. We decided to eat out on the sidewalk because it was a beautiful evening. Even though we were sitting next to Hollywood Blvd the traffic was not distracting, but the sidewalk traffic was. Definitely will go back.
