This place wins for best burger ?? I just don't understand it. Is America so wowed by the portion size that taste, service, presentation, cleanliness takes a back seat for a giant ball of meat on the plate? The first time I went I witnessed a customer getting balled out. I assumed the customer was rude and let it go. I also chickened out on the ordering the burger because it just did not look appetizing to me. The second time I went I ordered the burger. Over an hour later our order showed up by a very slow moving waitress. I was so dissapointed ! After such a long wait I expected to be wowed and fall in love with this #1 burger. It was a giant ball of chop meat. It had no flavor, was pretty hard and the plate was completely lacking in any decorative eye appealing garnish. Meat on a roll.
Not one to give up so easily I thought I must just be there on an off day, I gave them yet another try. We showed up right before noon with some others and were happy to stroll around and check out the water until they opened. I apparently wandered over to a part of the deck that gets slippery and should have been blocked off. The cook noticed me and came flying out eyes glaring in anger. Not sure who he was really yelling at but he yelled to no one in particular that this area is closed because its slippery, there was mention of incompetent so and so's, again still not sure if he was yelling at me or not. So we left, no reason to sit there waiting for that big rock of meat that will surely take over an hour to create. It took me a year to write this review. I have been angry for a year so I figure if I write the review and vent maybe I can finally let this bad experience go !
