Although we have had dinner at the regular restaurant (The Grill....was Joes' Gold Coast years ago), this review is only related to the Bakery/Cafe section in the Bldg directly S of the Grill.

Arrived for lunch about 2 PM, and the place was still really busy. There is a dockside entrance, and an entrance off A1A

The A1A entrance is where the bakery section is...mainly breads, but they have sweet pastry and cakes that are usually sold in the restaurant (The breads & some pastries are also for retail sale...they will sell a cake if they feel it may be 'overage'.

Greeted and seated promply, and service was excellent. Place was very neat and orderly...it has to be because there isn't that much room for the servers to get to the lines of tables.

Orders were taken a few minutes after we sat. Menu seems like the very healthy type......lots of salads and lighter fare....and of course, being in line with the other Greek restaurants on this strip, had many Greed dishes...

Our food was good...but not exceptional. I would not order the pizza again. It had a ton of fresh chopped tomatoes, and some cheese, but dough wasn't what I was used to, and the thing wasn't cooked enough (It was probably real healthy).

A Greek Salad (luncheon full meal) was a bit of a disappointment. The greens and other veggies were fresh and clean.....but I think they are afraid to spend any $$ on the Feta Cheese....I would estimate 2 teaspoon fulls maybe less, and a few olives...very few...and one pickled pepper. OK OK it was good, as was the bread service (very good)....but I just felt they want to save $$ on what makes a Greek Salad...I hope they read this.

One more observation.....on the menu was a turkey type roll up & a soup and sandwich. The turkey was not real oven baked breast...but a cheap luncheon meat substitute. How many more pennies would it cost to bake a real breast instead of buying a cheap luncheon meat....where do they think we went to eat, a Woolworths Lunch Counter??? (At least there it was only a dime)

So, nearly everything was very good....except we felt they serve the cheapest available food stuff

I recently ate at this restaurant with my mother and her husband after many years of frequenting this restaurant. Much to my surprise, from the moment we entered the restaurant, until we finally were able to leave, the service, from the hostess to the waitress, were pathetic. The hostess did not see fit to even escort us to our table at the outside dining area. We were taken to the door which leads to the outside dining area and told "to find our table down at the end." This - not too bad, but it took our waitress (Judy) 20 minutes to come and see if we wanted something to drink. After we told her what we wanted to drink and eat (we were told to order at the same time) it took another 20 minutes for our 3 glasses of wine to arrive. We had to ask another waiter for bread and ice water as our waitress seemed to have "disappeared". Another 40 minutes went by before our dinner arrived, which, when it did, was terrible. The fish was stone cold (it was sent back to be heated), the chicken was "nuked" and with no sauce which was advertised on the menu, and the pepper steak was tough and not up to the usual standards (my mother & her husband have wintered in Hollywood six months of the year for the past 17 years and Giogio's has always been a favourite up until the last four weeks). As well, a number of patrons who were seated close to us expressed their dissatisfaction as well. This restaurant needs to be reminded that the majority of their clientele are "snowbirds" who enjoy bringing their guests to a reputable restaurant and Giorgio's has certainly been downgraded in every respect. In summary, the service was terrible, the food was disgusting and the atmostphere not one bit appealing (ie) the plastic blinds that are to be able to be pulled down to block the direct effect of the sun were not to be - the rollers had no blinds!

My husband and I recently visited south Florida, and this was by far the best dining find! Giorgio's Sunset Dinner (must be seated between 4:00 and 5:15 p.m.) was fabulous--a choice of soup or salad, entree, rolls served with both an herbed butter or tapinada, dessert, and a complimentary glass of their house wine, all for only $14.99! I had a large fresh Greek salad, a salmon filet with mashed potatoes and vegetable medly, dessert, AND a glass of very drinkable red--all delicious! My husband had the angel hair pasta with a scrumptuous garlicly red sauce, which I tried--it was equally as tasty as my dinner! All portions are large, except the dessert (which was small, but delicious). The sunset was free, to boot!

This is a lovely restaurant to boot, with inland waterway view, tasteful Mediterranean decor (including white table linens), a full bar, and attentive service (but not hovering). It does have (free) valet parking, so there is an added charge there (valet's gratuity), but it is still the best value in a meal that I can remember in recent years! Unlike some of the other reviews of this restaurant, we didn't find it noisy at all, albeit most tables were filled by the time we left (just before 7:00 p.m.)(guess it's because we were gone by the time the raucious partying crowds arrived). Dont' miss it!

Just came back from our Florida vacation and let me tell we ate out everyday for 2 wks. Our last stop was here and ohhh how I wish we had eaten here much sooner. Great ambiance. The waitress informed us of the specials in detail. I ordered the ribe eye steak my girlfriend ordered the $25 special. Where do I begin the appetizers were delicious, especially the crab cakes, but when My girlfriend saw my rib eyed with gravy swirled around it she knew this was no ordinary rib eye. I could of licked the plate clean. The waitress had informed us that quantities would be large and the taste would be to die for. Let me tell you she wasn't exaggerating. My girlfriend and I couldn't stop ohhing and ahhing. She had a combination of salmon, pork, steak, grilled chicken, pasta, and rice w/veggies. We were stuffed. The finale was warm chocolate cake w/ vanilla ice cream and strawberry sauce. We asked the waitress to put our dessert in a doggie bag, she suggested we eat it now. Oh my God!! talk about liking your fingers, we shared the dessert and we were clicking our spoons figting to eat it. We spent $70 for the best meal we had in Florida, and let me tell you went from Key West to Orlando. We had to compliment the Chef on his presentation and his culinary skills.
