Although we have had dinner at the regular restaurant (The Grill....was Joes' Gold Coast years ago), this review is only related to the Bakery/Cafe section in the Bldg directly S of the Grill.
Arrived for lunch about 2 PM, and the place was still really busy. There is a dockside entrance, and an entrance off A1A
The A1A entrance is where the bakery section is...mainly breads, but they have sweet pastry and cakes that are usually sold in the restaurant (The breads & some pastries are also for retail sale...they will sell a cake if they feel it may be 'overage'.
Greeted and seated promply, and service was excellent. Place was very neat and orderly...it has to be because there isn't that much room for the servers to get to the lines of tables.
Orders were taken a few minutes after we sat. Menu seems like the very healthy type......lots of salads and lighter fare....and of course, being in line with the other Greek restaurants on this strip, had many Greed dishes...
Our food was good...but not exceptional. I would not order the pizza again. It had a ton of fresh chopped tomatoes, and some cheese, but dough wasn't what I was used to, and the thing wasn't cooked enough (It was probably real healthy).
A Greek Salad (luncheon full meal) was a bit of a disappointment. The greens and other veggies were fresh and clean.....but I think they are afraid to spend any $$ on the Feta Cheese....I would estimate 2 teaspoon fulls maybe less, and a few olives...very few...and one pickled pepper. OK OK it was good, as was the bread service (very good)....but I just felt they want to save $$ on what makes a Greek Salad...I hope they read this.
One more observation.....on the menu was a turkey type roll up & a soup and sandwich. The turkey was not real oven baked breast...but a cheap luncheon meat substitute. How many more pennies would it cost to bake a real breast instead of buying a cheap luncheon meat....where do they think we went to eat, a Woolworths Lunch Counter??? (At least there it was only a dime)
So, nearly everything was very good....except we felt they serve the cheapest available food stuff
