“Great spot for a nice meal on the water.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Went here for a nice dinner out when in town for a mini getaway. The atmosphere and location are excellent. The menu had a good variety of options, a bit on the pricey side but not unreasonable for what was offered. The mussels and chowder ordered were only ok...mussels a bit overdone and over flavoured, and the chowder was unexpectedly tomato based. Ordered a seafood tower between 3 of us and everything was fresh and tasty. The shrimp were huge. The best dish ordered at the table was the diver scallops..immense, cooked perfectly and came in a delicious sauce.
The service started out great. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable...unfortunately after the food was delivered he didn't show up again until it was time for the bill despite us all having empty glasses. He did apologize later saying a colleague had taken ill but it's hard to swallow when you've been waiting on a drink for an hour.
Anyways it was overall a lovely experience. Would recommend and return (I want more of those scallops!!)

“They got it right”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

Hubby and I were visiting Hollywood Florida and asked a few people if they could recommend a nice place for dinner overlooking the intracoastal waterway and instantly GG's Waterfront was the one most mentioned. They all got it right. There is outdoor seating and indoor seating all looking onto the intracoastal. As the sun goes down there are see through blinds to cut out some of the glare and yet still allow for watching the beautiful boats going by.
There is valet parking and staff that are prompt and on the ball. If you are seated inside there is a view of the kitchen staff hard at work in an impeccable copper decorated kitchen. The wine list has some very good choices on it and priced to suit most pockets. The menu has all the usual steaks, fish and chicken plates and attractive appetizers and sides.
We chose to share the Burrata salad and the fresh mozzarella was delicious. For my entree I had the Mahi Mahi and asked to have it blackened. It was only necessary to eat it with a fork as it was beautifully flaky and moist. The sweet chilli sauce complimented it and the Asian slaw had a nice spicy kick to it. Hubby had the bone in ribeye with seasonal vegetables and said everything was delicious. For a nice ending we shared the tiramisu and it was outstanding. This is a place well worth visiting.

Great intercoastal view. Very nice brunch. A bit pricey but not as much as Billys. Food good, service good.

“Great Views and Great Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

Visited GG's on second visit to Hollywood and wasn't sure what to expect. The menu looks good online but until you have been you never know - but can thoroughly recommend it. We had a waterside view and there are plenty of tables so even though it was Saturday night and very busy we were right on the waters edge to watch the sun go down. The food was excellent - if you like fresh seafood it's a must - the Florida snapper was absolutely gorgeous and the service was good too. There is a bar and indoor tables as well if you don't want to sit outside. Although it's not as cheap as some of its close by competitors, the food and ambience is well worth it. Would definitely go back again.

“Great Food! Great Service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

We came to GGs on a buisness meeting on a Thursday and were seated right away outside along the Bay facing a beautiful sunset. We were there with clients so I was happy that our waiter Jimmy was a professional and quickly got us through the menus and up to speed. The food was delicious
and the specialty cocktails that we're recommended we're just what we needed. Thank you for a great evening. Try the grouper it was outstanding.
We will definately be back!
