“There's a reason this place is on TV”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

Food is fresh and quick. Staff is good. Cost is VERY reasonable. And the steak hoagie is better than you will find pretty much anywhere. It's in a "hole in the wall" so use GPS. No parking and only take cash, but worth seeking out

“One for the best steak sandwiches to be found”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

This is a family owned and operated business since the 1950's. Home made bread is what makes this one of the best around. Thinly sliced , grilled and then fixed your way.
I love the number 50 which includes steak, grilled onions and tomato sauce add American cheese you you have the perfect sandwich. Highly recommended

“Not a Big Deal”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

Sonny's is a small restaurant in the middle of a strip mall near nothing interesting. The menu is limited and the dining room was outdated and small. The meatballs which were supposed to be "the best" were tasteless. There is no reason to go out of the way to get here. The only thing separates this place from any other sub shop is that for some reason it made it to Triple-D.

TIP: They do not accept credit cards, cash only!

“Good Philly cheesesteak....get the #90 with add ons”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

Thoroughly enjoyed this cheesesteak. I got the 90 which is their signature sandwich. I added onions, peppers, and mushrooms to get that true Philly flavor. They gave me a complimentary side of (not so) hot peppers which added a great flavor. Their sauce is good, but it's like a marinara which I personally don't like on a Philly cheesesteak. After a four hour drive into town this really hit the spot. Service was good and friendly. You may also have to wait a while for seating as it's a small place and seemingly always busy. But patience will be rewarded. Enjoy.
