gone with family, eight year old boy, nice place, nice pool , no more than two three days especially if you do not gamble, to try at least once in the life
more "games" than music , may need something more for food selection

Two days at he fabulous Hard Rock Hotel and casino can do wonders as a short but sweet anniversary getaway! Be sure to do the spa experience with massages , facials and other goodies waiting to relax body and mind. We also had dinner at the Council Oaks restaurant where Bill our waiter (originally from Pittsburgh) was a gem in service and conversation. All in all a great 2 and a half day getaway we thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a difficult time at check in. We had to deal with multiple agents and wait several hours to finally get into our 2 rooms. Which in the end weren't what we had requested, so we might as well have not waited and taken the rooms they initially tried to give us.

The pool area was really nice and not crowded at all. That was the highlight of our trip.

On our last evening there, the room next to us had booked 1 room for a 21st birthday party and then had what I imagine to be 25 or more people who were not staying at the hotel come to that room for a party. I know all of this because the walls are paper thin and I heard every word they were saying. I listened to this party go on until almost 2am at which point I called the front desk and asked if they could ask the group to take it to the casino or quiet down, the front desk did nothing. I called again at 3am, again they did nothing. At 4am the party had gone from just drunk loud music and people chugging beer to wildly inappropriate, lewd behavior. I called the front desk again and the agent literally said "what do you want me to do about it, I told security" Then connected me to security and said you tell them yourself. I did, security came up at almost 5am and ended the party.

It's the Hard Rock, I get that people are there to party. But the hotel not doing anything about these people who were clearly just in the room for the cheap beer they brought rather than buying drinks in the bar like everyone else does.... and the fact that most of these people weren't even staying at the hotel.... it seems to me the hotel should want to take care of this situation and not risk loosing people like myself who are happy to buy their over priced drinks and pay for a room for everyone in my party.

I probably wouldn't stay there again. There are a ton of great hotels in this area, I wouldn't risk loosing another nights sleep.

Stayed at this hotel for the first time on January 10th & 11th. Usually I stay in Marriotts but decided to try this hotel. Unfortunately for the price of the room that we paid I did not feel it was worth it. Unlike the Hard Rock, I've stayed at Ritz Carltons for the same price and felt they really appreciated their guests and did whatever they could to make their guests feel important and that they were glad that you were staying in their hotel. Also the room they gave us was about $500 a night and we were facing a roof. I can understand that someone has to get those rooms but then they should not charge $500 for them. Especially in a Casino hotel where you are spending money on gambling and eating in their fine dining restaurants. We did have dinner at the Council Oak Steakhouse Restaurant on the premises I was not crazy about the atmosphere not your traditional steakhouse atmosphere but the food and service was good but a bit pricey. But we did enjoy it very much and I would recommend this restaurant.

Excellent weather. Hard Rock hotel is nice but is a smoking facility. I stayed during work meetings but would not have chosen because of smoke. The beds are comfortable and room has large soaking tub.

Unless you are really into gambling, this is not the place to be. I went there just this week for an off-site company meeting. We booked several rooms and a meeting room for one day.
This place is all about money. Everyone is very "polite" but completely aloof and detached. It's very expensive. The rooms are regular. Most hotels I've been to in different parts of the country and world have complementary water bottles in the room. Not even that. It's a very commercial and cold environment.
The meeting room was also very basic. We were not provided with a basket to dispose of any garbage in the room and outside the room there were none either.
The staff is professional but they can't make any accommodations aside from what is stipulated on paper.
I was disappointed and would never return to this hotel for a stay.

We booked this hotel last minute because we wanted to get out of another hotel (Holiday Inn Miami - South Beach). It cost us $188 and they upgraded us to a suite. The room was huge! It was a wonderful perk, seeing as we were travelling with our 20 month old at the time, and we appreciated the extra room for her to run around. The grounds of this place are fabulous - the pools, etc. The only downside is that this hotel is part of the casino and they do allow smoking in the casino. Most of the restaurants are located around the casino, so you can't really avoid the smell. We ate at two restaurants while here - one was the Asian place for supper and it was really delicious! Not the kind of food you would expect from a hotel restaurant! Better than most Asian restaurants I have tried. We also ate at the Diner restaurant (forget the name now) for breakfast and was very disappointed - $20 for a plate of cold eggs.
The place was empty when we were there and I have a hard time believing that it ever fills up....
Although it is in the middle of nowhere, I would strongly recommend this place for a night or two.
