My wife and I came here for our 20th anniversary. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, inside and out! It even has white tea scent piped in to the duct work - so nice! Check-in was great and got us in early! The pool complex is one of the coolest I have ever seen! Two levels with a pool on each. As you swim in the upper pool, you can look through the bottom of it (through a see-through glass bottom) in to the lower pool! Music all day, including relaxation music at sunrise, which is a beautiful touch. The staff was very attentive and went out of their way to take care of us for our anniversary, which was very much appreciated! We ate at Splash which serves good pool food and drinks. We ate at Hollywood Prime, which is very expensive, but was probably one of the best meals we have ever eaten and the staff was phenomenal! We got a couples' Togetherness Massage, which was wonderful, but probably overpriced (watch for specials). We were given a room with a great view (North Tower - 767). The AC did not work well at all and that caused us to lose sleep. This was a real issue, but the room location was so great, we did not complain. In addition, the bathtub was not able to hold water, the shower control handle was loose, the standing lamp did not work and the carpet was a little rough. The room needed a little more TLC to match the quality of the rest of the hotel. In addition, on our 2nd morning, housekeeping was outside our room as we left for a 3 hour beach walk, including breakfast. When we returned to get ready for our spa package, the maid was still not finished with our room. She asked us to give her another 15 minutes. We were disappointed. We took a black van taxi, which the person in charge out front told us would be courtesy to Gulfstream (which I highly recommend for restaurants, bars, casino and shopping), but once there, the driver tried to hustle me for more money after offering him a $5 tip (it’s only a $9.50 taxi ride)! Overall, this resort & spa is one of the best I've been to and has so much to offer. It is right on the beach (and I mean close), which I will say, the beach is on a real angle and the sand is very soft, so you better be in great shape if you are going to go very far! It has a spa (which is great), a fitness center, restaurants (Hollywood Prime is phenomenal), a sports bar on the intracoastal across the street via a breezeway that crosses over the road (which is also where they have parking and where a water taxi can be found to run all over the intracoastal to different locations), a golf course on the other side of the intracoastal (I didn't play, but it looks beautiful) and is located very near “the boardwalk,” which is full of local restaurants, shops and lots of joggers, bikers and visitors. The Atlantic Ocean is beautiful! This hotel is very romantic, very business oriented, very family oriented, it has it all! I will DEFINITELY be back! Check this place out, you won’t be sorry!
Ask for ocean front rooms in the 67s and 45s (e.g. 767 or 745, 867 or 845, etc.).Call way in advance...
