my boyfriend is a Starwood Preferred member so he booked it.
The only reason this hotel didn't rate an excellent was because of the horrible noise from the dozens of children. Especially the unattended children on the lower level pool.

We stayed from mon 12/17 to fri 12/21(the rates doubled then) and kids were off from school. I LEARNED TO BE WARY OF REWARD PROGRAM HOTELS because even t hough the hotel is expensive there will be plenty of kids.

We were on the 31st floor and could still hear the same boys screaming, and as early as 7:00 am. The hotel says they welcome children, but they should require and enforce that the kids be attended by their parents at all times. Not that that would help the noise much.

oh, my email address is changing to artofbodyexperie@bellsouth.net

We stayed at the Westin Diplomat for a convention in November of this year, and had a very nice time. The hotel itself is beautiful, the lobby is very nice, with fountains and plenty of comfortable chairs for lounging around. Our room was on the 33rd floor, and we had a balcony overlooking the ocean, which was nice, but it was very windy and we were almost too high to enjoy the view. The room itself was very nice, but it was a little small for our family - 2 adults, a 4 year old and an 18 mo old. The bathroom was well done.

The pools are great, but the deck did get a little crowded, it was tough to find a chair sometimes. We were very disappointed that they closed the "upper" pool on the Saturday that we were there because they were going to have a wedding. The wedding wasn't until 6 PM, but the pool was closed the entire day, which was disappointing because the kids liked that one better. It was warmer, and had a shallow area for the kids.

The food was good, we had brunch there which was delicious, but we went out for most of our meals. The food in the area is somewhat expensive and there is almost nowhere to walk.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, but it wasn't the best place to have little kids.

The hotel was very nice, but if had not been for the conference it wouldn't have been our first choice.

We have just returned from a week at the Westin Diplomat. The hotel is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. The staff there is extremely helpful. We had a beautiful room with a pool and ocean view. The pool is magnificent, with a great Splash Bar. The pool attendants were wonderful. The Spa located in its sister hotel nearby is out of this world. Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Looking forward to staying here again.

5 Star is a bit of a stretch. Unless your willing to hike everywhere, you better be ready to pay premium for everything. First, there is no shuttle service from Airport to the Hotel. My room was really nice, with the view. However, the chipped marble and obvious imperfections in the rooms ceratinly make you wonder whats going on. As I was there for a conference, the service was good at the hotel, however the food tasted like it was prepared by Ronald McDonald. For our main event, we had filet w/grouper...the food was luke warm to cold. The mash potatos had sat there for sometime. But even past that, the food was not 5 Star quality. If you use the spa service, know a couple of things...1) the shuttle is always late (10-20 minutes) 2) the staff was very rude at times...I mentioned the shuttle, because the spa is a 10 minute ride off the property. All in all it was no better than staying at a nice fairfield inn or comfort inn, the beds were not any better. So for the price, you may want to shop somewhere else.

“surprising nice hotel”

Had a very nice 4 night stay at this very nice hotel. The rooms are excellent. Luxurious bathroom with separate tub abd shower which opens in the bedroom. Nice comfortable bed with new furniture.

Stayed at the club level room. Continental breakfast is adequate but the rest of the day is subpar compared to other club setups.

Health club is very nice and the restaurants are of excellent quality. Of course, they are expensive but that's life in any quality location.

Pool is huge and hotel is also right on the beach. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful.

Do not use the internet ont he TV to check email or surf the web. Cannot do it properly.
