Description: General We invite lovers of great food and wine to experience the casual atmosphere and the authentic French cuisine of Bistro 1902. Our location in downtown Hollywood is styled in tradition of these small Parisian restaurants, starting from the bottle in which we serve you water, ending with the cup in which we serve your cappuccino. And just like these early establishments we are family-owned and family-operated. When you come to dine with us you are our guest, and we cook for you as we would for ourselves. That is the reason why we only serve the finest, freshest and most natural ingredients. We are constantly exploring new alternatives to ensure that we put only the best in the dishes we prepare for you. Bistro 1902 combines a quaint, familiar ambiance with decades of experiences. All our dishes are closely monitored by our head chef, who uses every bit of the knowledge he acquired in the 25 years he spent cooking in 4 and 5 star hotels and restaurants throughout Fr

“Average at Best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013 via mobile

We had dinner last Saturday evening and found the service good, although there seemed to have been confusion in the kitchen, the food 'almost' average. I will not comment on the strolling violin.....Next.

“Coffees good but deserts overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

A pleasant bistro(ish) style restaurant like Chocolada (at 1923) but with better coffee. The owners are from France and the (male) arrogance is evident but, happily, the servers are both competent and pleasant. Food is above average but do ask the price of desserts which are presented on a tray as they are overpriced; probably why I was never presented with a dessert menu. Overall worth a visit.

“FANTASTIC !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We've been several times now, for Lunch and Dinner and it can't get any better. The greeting is friendly, the decor is warm, the service outstanding and the food always amazing.Last time we went about a week ago, we were pleasantly serenaded by a violin player, soooo romantic!!
Try the fabulous French Onion soup, the red snapper with caper/white wine sauce, the salmon burgers and I could go on and on.with other suggestions.
We will be back Bistro 1902, always a pleasure to go there!!

“Clearly states UNLIMITED MIMOSAS on the brunch. NOT $18 per person!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

So I guess Groupon will go the way of "Social Living" coupons. WAY too good to be true. Just another rip. I bought the deal for four for brunch. We went. Food was great. Service was great. We bought the dinner. Same confusion as others have gone through. Really there is only one item on the menu for the prices they allow you. So you will always have to pay far more. Now I have four more Brunch coupons to use. I guess we didn't look at the final bill the first time, because the part about the "unlimited mimosas" doesn't even make sense, since they CHARGE you $18. PER PERSON on the bill !!! Then tax and tip (already included at 15%!) on the whole shabang. Interesting, since if you just ordered one mimosa, it is $7.95 on the menu. You'd be better off to say, no, on the "unlimited mimosas" stated on the Groupon, and just buy one outright ! The coupon also says 'please be sure to tip on the total bill' ?? Like you have a choice? They already tacked on 15% tip. What a shame. I thought I really liked this place.

“Just Be a Little More Honest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

Yes, we had a Groupon as well...After reading the reviews from other Groupon users, I knew what to expect but cannont understand why they do not indicate the "rules" in the fine print as other restaurants that offer Groupon savings do... When we were seated the waiter went over the "rules" -max of $19.95 for an entree and $6.95 for an appetizer or salad...We already knew that so I decided not to tell them that this was not indicated anywhere on the Groupon. With that being said, the service and food were very good. We had the caesar salad and onion soup which were tasty and my boyfriend had the skirt steak with delicious fresh cut fries. I had a chicken dish (can't remember the name) which was very good as well. The waiter offered to refill our wine glasses whenever they got low(unlimited wine was included) and it was a decent selection. Don't be put off by the other comments here if you have a Groupon - just know the "rules" and enjoy your meal and wine !
