“Almost the Hampton Inn & Suites I expect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

Hotel was clean, breakfast was about what I expect from a Hampton Inn & Suites. The neighborhood, although convenient to Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood airport and the interstate, was really not the most comfortable. I stayed in a double queen room with a kitchenette and living area. It was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Couch was a rollout bed, kitchen was stocked with all necessary kitchenware. There was a 2 burner cooktop, microwave and full size refrigerator. I did find about 4 or 5 long hairs stuck to the top shelf in the fridge, but other than that, kitchen and eating area was in good shape.
Master bedroom was plain with one dresser, one nightstand, one tv, 2 beds and a window over looking the neighboring hotel and part of the pool. Bed closest to window (rm 512) was very bouncy and had a severe lean in to the center of the room. The lean was so much that I propped one of the very comfy pillows in the middle of my back to keep from rolling off.
Overall, the bldg is slightly dated with old trim and old doors painted over a dozen times, but staff was nice and all the perks of this brand were in place.
Pool area looked inviting and clean, however, we didn't have time to use it.
I would stay agin if needed, but I wouldn't hesitate to check for another Hampton Inn at another exit ramp.

Love the lady that works at the front desk, she looks like she is a manager, dark hair and sounds colombian. She gave me a bottle of water complimentary due to the breakfast was closed already and they do not offer free water..

We are Hilton Honor members and usually stay at an Embassy Suites but they were booked. This hotel is over priced for what you get. Hotel staff was not friendly or helpful. No regular coffee in the room. There are 5 of us in my family which is why we get a suite and only two towels were provided. We arrived at 4:30 and the room was not ready. Not a very pleasant experience.

Can't get any closer to airport which was very convenient. Hotel is comfortable, rooms a bit small but had all conveniences. The breakfast was great and with a large variety of choices. Great value!
Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.
There is a nice mall next door and plenty of places to eat with short distance..

Every time I am near Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. I stay here. Through the years the hotel has maintained the spirit of home away from home, great staff all around, quiet, clean and always renovating. For those how come from abroad with some shopping in mind The Oakwood Plaza North has a lot to offer and many restaurants too. If you want to enjoy a day at the beach, is a short 10-12 minute drive.

Nothing but great things to say about this hotel. Clean, clean, clean! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast is fantastic! My favorite was the waffle station, yum, yum. The location was just up the road from the Hard Rock, which was our destination for a fun night out and a Journey concert. Would stay here again and again. Great price, great staff, great service!!!
