I stayed with some friends recently & it was really great customer service great, clean suites, shuttle service & breakfast good. A shopping plaza walking distance with big stores (KMArt, Big Lots, Ross, Marshalls, Party City) to name a few. Eating places near by.

#507 2xdouble N/S

Very clean with nice touches such as iron & ironing board; the hotel takes great pride in
posting a note on each bed that the sheets & duvet are cleaned/replaced for each
stay. This room was very quiet even though next to a noisy elevator; nice east view
of a palm tree "forest". The location was just great in that it was close to the airport,
the cruise port, and both the Hollywood & Ft. Lauderdale "boardwalks. The Hollywood
boardwalk is nice enough as it is long and does have a decent variety of shops &
restaurants but I prefer the Ft. Lauderdale beach as the area feels a bit cleaner and is
better lit. I'm not sure about good to great restaurants in walking distance but there are several
fast food places next door.
Back to the hotel: the front desk staff was very friendly as was the "breakfast lady".
The room had a good supply of real clothes hangers ( the kind with hooks & not the
annoying post & slot type). The beds were average to a bit above; the furniture is showing some wear & tear. The breakfast was standard (good enough) for a mid-range motel, the
seating area is a bit small if you get there at "prime time" on a cruise departure day.
I recommend this hotel overall; it is particularly good if you have a car available.

Room Tip: 5th floor in middlle on east was quiet & had decent view

I stayed here for 2 nights, and the room was fine, but unless you just hang in your room, there is nowhere within walking distance to eat or shop. The pamphlets they give you with restaurants are seriously outdated. I got directions from the front desk and walked to one of their listed restaurants ( Baja Fresh Express), not a short walk, and it had been closed down and vacated-it was merely a shell. It had obviously been closed for quite awhile. I ordered in for the remainder of my stay. They do have apples in the front lobby, and a little store with microwaveable items, but nothing healthy enough to eat. This place is probably fine if you have a car. It is clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: If you don't have a vehicle I do not recommend this location

The inn is clean, a bit off the beaten path and the airport shuttle runs ONLY on the hour, so keep that in mind. The suite was large but somewhat dated; it is a shame that so many hotels have problems keeping their vending machines stocked and in working order. We arrived from San Juan late and it would have been terrific to have gotten at least a snack. Tax included the stay cost almost $250 for one night....we were tired so I guess it was worth it but frankly there is nothing special about this hotel. And oh yes, their shuttle was broken down the next morning but we at least had a ride back to the airport supplied by the Best Western next door thanks to the Hampton staff arranging that with Best Western.

We stayed one night before a flight home. The shuttle was free and they had a free dinner the night we were there. Okay breakfast in the morning. Good thing dinner was served because there are no other places to eat close by. Free dinner is not every night. The room was small, cut up, but clean. You are within a 15 shuttle ride to the airport. Service is friendly. The dinner was casual and okay. Hotdogs, chili, wine, eggs, fries and other items served buffet style. We would not choose to stay here again but it worked for this occasion.

Room Tip: Check to see if this is a free dinner night! If not, make provisions for food elsewhere.

Convenient for airport, really busy area and traffic is crazy. They have a shuttle to the airport, decent breakfast. Suite is adequate for 3 adults but 1 bdrm king has pullout couch which is ok for 1 night stay.

Great inexpensive spot for an overnight before a cruise out of Miami. Breakfast was great--kids liked the waffle maker. We ended up coming in early and the staff was helpful and our room was set up and ready by 1215 despite a full night before. Staff recommended the American Diner in the plaza next door which was tasty. Also within walking distance was a strip mall with stores to wander in and purchase last minute items-sunglasses, sun covers etc for cruise and eat-Chipoltle and plenty of fast food next door. Pool was small but weather was uncooperative so no comment. Good place to stay for quick stopover--would maybe stay closer to beach if vacationing, but for us this was clean, comfortable and cheap.
