The atmosphere of the place is admittedly minimal, but really, that's the point behind a beach taco "shack". The seating is large wooden couched with big pillows, a few benches and a a dozen or so tables. There's a kind-of stage area which was nice. On the day I went there, Taco Tuesday, there was a very talented father/daughter duo singing and playing guitar. They played/sang very well.
Got the mahi-mahi taco special. While I wish I would've been told the fish was fried beforehand, it was still super-good. The cilantro hot sauce that is available is delicious and if you put it on the way I like it will make you tear a little bit. The corn with cheese it came with was delicious and while I think the margarita could have been a bit stronger, was still good. Admittedly, the corn shells, which are delicious, will fall apart on you and your hands will get a bit messy. In my experience, the lack of friendly or numerous wait staff was not an issue. After grabbing a seat someone quickly came with the menus, got my order and whatnot. That said, I'm looking forward to trying their short rib tacos and burritos next!
