“Oysters were great ...Incompetent Bartender Ruined the evening”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Usually when one experiences good food the service may be lacking certain details but the food makes up for the bad service. Not in this case. We almost walked out we sat at the bar to eat and order a bottle of wine. The bartender was no where to be seen. She finally walked in and didn't even say hi. We had to hail her down to order some wine. The wine list was great and the prices were reasonable so we decided we stick in there but discussed leaving. We ordered 24 Oysters they arrived cold and fresh no complaints. We then ordered two crepes one seafood and one chicken. The chicken crepe was inedible and was taken off the bill. The bartender never pulled it together and almost went out of her way to ignore clients and give nasty attitude to anything she was asked. Some people should not be in the food business she is one of them. She actually through her attitude gave us the conclusion not to return even though we loved the atmosphere and most of the meal. So in one word don't bother with this place to many other venues to enjoy. Specially if Samantha is the bartender stay away from the bar. When I told her I was going to give a bad review she actually said .She didn't care and go ahead...I feel for the owner and only hope he or she reads this.

“The staff have a very hard time handling a busy night!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

We made 8:45 reservations on Open Table for this restaurant. We had never been here before but the reviews were positive and the menu looked promising. We arrived at 8:40 and there were no tables available. We were asked to wait at the bag but there were no chairs available so we ended up standing in the doorway with several other couples. We were finally seated at 9:00 which wouldn't have been so bad except we were seated next to the piano and this old lounge singer that bordered on tacky. We made the best of it until we realized at 9:15 we had not been seen by a waiter. The waiter from the next table claimed he didn't see us (not sure how that is possible) and finally came to our table at 9:30. We ordered everything at once anticipating less of a wait and making it easier on this befuddled waiter. We ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. Our drinks came pretty quickly. Appetizers arrived at 9:50. Not too bad considering this was Valentine's night. However our entrees arrived over an hour later! By this time the restaurant was thinning out, things weren't as busy. My husband watched while our plates sat on a rack for almost 15 minutes. We just knew they would be cold. Nevertheless the food arrived, was still hot and was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! I highly recommend the seafood risotto. Our waiter didn't come back to the table until finally my husband flagged him down. Needless to say he returned quickly with the check and less than 5 minutes later to collect the bill and his tip. I encouraged my husband not to tip. We are normally big tippers because we appreciate good service but the service from the hostesses to the waiter was something expected at McDonald's at best. Despite the flustered service (possibly due to the V-Day rush) the restaurant is quaint and romantic, the bartender was excellent and the food was phenomenal. We will definitely return.

“Not worth repeating”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Went with family to use a Groupon for 4. Picture in Groupon was for a Duck dinner, but when we got there we were presented with a Groupon specific Menu. I asked if I could pay the difference and was told that the Mgr. said NO. We've been there before and would have come back, but $5 couldn't have made that much difference to them and they forgot about making the guest happy. So I left thinking that's its not worth repeating. Too many other good restaurants with better attitudes. By the way, there were only 4 other tables being served-no too busy

“Food and wine were devine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Conservative clean decor with up to date background music made for perfect ambiance.. Foie gras, escargot, lamb lollipops, and chicken saltbucco; Every bite better than the last. Excellent wine list. We choose chateau le chaize. So many great dishes it was hard to choose. Our new favorite restaurant.

“Hollywood Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

My wife and I went to Sage recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were happy to discover that this restaurant was closer to where we live than the other Sage location in Fort Lauderdale.
Our dinner was absolute perfection from the beginning to the end. My wife and I are serious "foodies" and we both prepare gourmet meals at home a couple of times a week. We dine out often as well and this area has many fine restaurants. Sage is one the best restaurants that we have ever visited. The quality and presentation of the food are astounding.
The service was impeccable. Our very attentive server, Tom was the best! He was knowledgeable, courteous, engaging, and served us as if we were family.
This is true 5 star dining, and the atmosphere was beautiful as well. A very classy upscale restaurant that should not be missed.
