We stayed in March at the Sea Downs and found the location to be perfect. The entire premises are kept very clean and the proximity to all that the Broadwalk has to offer cannot be beat. The bed (two twins pushed together) was very comfortable and the closet space was great. We had a separate living room/kitchenette, which gave us room to unwind without having to sit on a bed. We prepared meals a few times a week and the grill was right outside of our room.
I would have given this 5 stars except for a few issues. I do realize that this is not a new resort but the cooking utensils left much to be desired. No potato peeler, one medium skillet, no cooking sheets or pans that could be placed in the oven to bake even a simple pan of brownies, dinner rolls or a small casserole . . just an example of the lack of proper kitchen equipment that would have been useful. However, the frig was large.
Also, the furniture is very dated and the futon and chair were very uncomfortable to sit on. While you do not come to Hollywood to sit in your rooms, it could have been more comfortable when we had downtime.
Of course, nothing beats the patio for having a cup of coffee in the morning or doing people watching during happy hour. The view of the sunrises in the morning is just spectacular and more than made up for a lack of amenities in the apartment.
