The only thing that this poor excuse for a hotel resort has is its location. Other than that, I strongly discourage anyone to stay at this dilapidated establishment. The room was dirty. The bathroom had pubic hair in the bathtub. The tub and bathroom sink did not drain whatsoever; which was not just a cleanliness issue, but a fire hazard because the hair dryer was situated right next to it. Water pressure throughout the room was weak. Not mention the unpleasant and unprofessional front desk staff.

The front window was patched with grey duct tape. There was no functioning air conditioning unit, only a portable unit that offered less than cool air. This unit dripped condensation all over the living room floor, causing a safety issue. Additionally, the light in the living room did not work. Maintenance failed to show up to resolve that problem as promised.

Overall, the entire experience and atmosphere of this facility was dark, dingy, deserted, old, unkept, and absolutely unpleasant and unprofessional. DO NOT choose this place for your stay. Not to mention the ridiculous $20.00 resort fee and the $18.00 daily parking fee. Rip Off.

The only good thing about the room was the kitchen and the king side bed although I booked a room with two beds and only got one kings bed room.

The first thing I want to say is be sure you are booking at the hotel you think you are. This is a very confusing hotel where both the Hollywood Beach Resort and the Historic Hollywood Beach Resort are two different Resorts IN THE SAME BUILDING. Great Location on the boardwalk, good security. One of the tiniest rooms I have ever stayed in. Towels are very thin. Beautiful pool which pretty much makes up for what the hotel is lacking.

Booked basr of the revirws on here. Hotel room was very clean. Boardwalk right outside with plenty of restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again before my cruise. For the price you can't beat it!

Hotel is also a permanent residential place with 2 separate check in areas. One of them behind a glass casing like a bank. Empty mall in lobby. Dressed up women were outside 4 am sitting in front of lobby...? Large AC unit on floor in room which took up space. 15-20 minute taxi drive from port. Not recommended.

Room Tip: This is a residential building as well.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom tower - it was wonderful. Very charming. It was 4 floors and a small elevator took you from floor to floor. Yes the building is old and so is the decor - but it was maintained. They are working up updating and look forward to going back.

Room Tip: I am contemplating purchasing a unit in the hotel, and when I saw the rooms - they are all different...

I have stayed here on 3 different occassions and have been pleasantly surprised when my expectations were exceeded. I love the fact that you can rent bikes and shop on the mall level and hope for further improvements with additional vendors in future. The breakfast coupons were great and I love the pool which closes at 7pm a bit early for my habits but otherwise the upgraded condo was perfect.

Room Tip: condos were great option
