We stopped by in Hollywood Beach during an extended road trip of Florida. We wanted to avoid large chain hotels on our trip and chose the Ocean Inn based on the many positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. We felt that the Ocean Inn was a large B and B cleverly disguised as a small retro motel. The place was cozy, comfortable, and clean. The friendly service provided by Phillip both in the reservation process and after we arrived was exceptional. Phillip made us feel welcome and at home, even though we were only staying one night. We stayed in a king room near the office and breakfast area. The room was funky with concrete aggregate floors, red walls, unique furnishings and art work, and a tiny but adequate little bathroom. We felt totally relaxed and comfortable. The breakfast provided was a simple cereal, coffee, tea, and muffin routine but convenient and adequate. The Ocean Inn is a short block walk to the Hollywood Beach boardwalk (really a paver sidewalk) and the beach within easy walking distance to great little shops and restaurants. If you are planning a stop in Hollywood Beach or even a short stay, the Ocean Inn should be a consideration.

Where to begin... the beautiful courtyard, the friendly and attentive staff, the great location and complimentary continental breakfast. Just a wonderful place to stay. Thanks for getting our vacation off on the right foot.

Loved our second visit here even more than the first time -- a planned week in sunny Florida, leaving snowy RI behind. The hotel is clean, cozy and kind of funky, filled with various outside "cubby" sitting areas. Enjoyed having a Queen Studio with the extra space and conveniences -- definitely a "do again"! Everyone is friendly and caring -- management and guests alike. The owners were so helpful in extending our stay when blizzard Nemo prevented us from flying home on time. It was a joy to rekindle our friendship with Philip, a very helpful and pleasantly funny gentleman in the office. A very short walk to the beautiful beach and lovely 2-1/2 mile boardwalk that's always busy. Cafe Bon Marche is a great new French restaurant a short ways on the boardwalk -- really nice lunch and happy hour! Must try the Sunday brunch at GG's -- unforgettable! Frequently ate at Georgio's Bakery for great breakfast, lunch or dinner. Absolute highlight of our trip was the water taxi from Hollywood to Ft. Lauderdale. Look forward to a future trip and seeing Philip, Joe and Scott again!

The Ocean Inn is very clean and comfortable! It has a really cool retro feel to it. The staff are very friendly and very helpful with all of our needs. It was very enjoyable to walk the boardwalk and chill in the courtyard.
