First of all, you cannot have a bad room here, as there are only 8 of them and they all face the beach. We had a Queen Studio on main floor, and loved it. We were literally 5 steps from the TiKi bar, which was a riot thanks to our super friendly bartender! We had initally scheduled this trip for May, but I suffered a serious broken leg and had to reschedule. The staff/management were extremely helpful with transferring our dates and deposits, and it was much appreciated

Pros--Tiki Bar--both for local flavor and friendly conversations, proximity to beach, adorable fresh and inviting rooms,people watching, VIEWS!!! Amazing location, steps from the beach.

Cons--the only con could also be a pro, you are located at a very quiet spot on the broadwalk. it is a good mile walk to the bars/restaurants. Normally, I would love the seclusion and enjoy the beautiful stroll along the beach, but my bones are still knitting. :(

Tips--walk down to local restaurants in the morning for awesome breakfast specials. The farther you walk, the cheaper breakfast gets!! We never spent more than five dollars each, and there were many cheaper options to be had. Check out Jakes for the whitefish tacos, super delish, and the owner (Jake) is a wonderfully friendly guy, this spot also has great live music and terrific pina coladas
We will definitely return, as soon as our schedules permit. And we want to extend a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Walkabout, y'all exceeded our expectations!!

Stayed here on a last minute business trip (in January) when all the major hotels are booked with conventions or snowbirds/Canadians (all great people!). It is absolutely adorable. If you are looking for the Ritz, go to the Ritz. If you are looking for the days-gone-by of Hollywood, FL and all that it was, this is the place for you. Beach is literally RIGHT across the street. Sherry, who takes care of the property, is phenomenal and also quite charming. A nice departure from the typical... and you can get a Latte right next door at the Marriott (and a great drink at Walkabout in the Tiki bar right on property...) Beautiful decor. Does it need a little TLC, probably but, I will be back and the overall experience is what matters to me.

We stayed here at the "pink hotel" for one night prior to our cruise. The location is fantastic - that is definitely something that can not be beat. We had a studio room - very clean, but unfortunately very worn and in need of repairs. We really liked the size and location of the hotel (near the end of the boardwalk), but the room condition somewhat overshadowed the positives.

My boyfriend and I stayed first week of December 2012 and could not have been happier when we arrived. We were able to check in nearly 4 hours early and were amazed at how clean the ocean view suite was. Gina, the manager, was very gracious and friendly as well as all other staff. Tiki bar was a plus and all bartenders were extremely friendly. Beach chairs and beach towels were available. Hollywood beach broad walk was beautiful and beach was awesome. Place is a gem and plan on going back again and again!!!
Book it and you will love it too!
