Lots of Germans vacation / winter in this area of Florida, and ( apparently) eat here fairly often. We had lunch there today and there were more Germans than Americans. Some were known to the waiter/owner. Nice variety on the menu, and not being a fan of vinegar-y hot German potato salad,I appreciated the 'cold German potato salad'... the schnitzel was delish, and a poppyseed filling cake with /whipped cream was just sweet enough. Its a homey place with lots of silk flowers and kitschy salt-and-pepper shakers on the tables ( pigs, high heels, ducks, cows, whatever- Restrooms nice, service attentive, it was a nice change from seafood. They apparently sell out ( reserv required) on the weekends that they have live music, as they were telling people they are sold out for this evening and had only a handful of seats left for tomorrow. I expect those are lively evenings!
